Two more great reasons to join us at the 2006 EOC National Meet in St. Louis in July... our good buddy Gregg (Outpost4) has lined us up with some special guests....
Both Alpine (http://www.alpine.com) and Kicker (http://www.kicker.com) will be sending demo Elements to our meet for our viewing and listening pleasure at the mix and mingle car show on Saturday morning and early afternoon.
These aren't just E's w/ swapped out head units. These are truly award winning, blow-your-mind audio/video installs. I'll leave it to Gregg to give any more details or specs on these beasts.
Special thanks to both Alpine and Kicker for their interest in our meet and their willingness to show off their stuff to us on that Saturday.
There are still a few tickets to the Cardinals game for Friday night too. So, if you've been holding out... SIGN UP NOW! (http://www.elementownersclub.com/event2006)

Sorry for the delay, Dom. I kept getting interrupted while making this post. Not to mention any names Dom , but I kept getting so many PMs Dom that at one point I lost the rough draft of my post Damn .
:D
Here's the skinny. The Kicker Element is one I've seen on their website for a couple of years now. I can't hotlink directly, so go to www.kicker.com and get to their home page. Under Sweet Rides, you'll find KICKER / Partner Cars. Click on that and you'll find Honda Element on the right side of the screen. Click on that and up will pop pictures of a totally decked out Element. Who needs a back seat? I count 5 screens in the vehicle. The read-out on the right dash under the monitor lets you adjust and check the status of all of the amps. I love the exterior, too.
It turns out this Element is owned by one of Kicker's installers. Not only is he bringing it to the meet, he will be joining us for the weekend, in the hotel, on the riverboat cruise, at the ball game, the works. And why wouldn't he? He owns an Element! And a pretty tricked out one, too.
The Alpine vehicle is a 5.1 surround sound piece. It is virtually identical to the one Alpine had at the 2004 Consumer Electronics Show if any of you remember that E. It has been updated with 2005 Alpine electronics and there is a chance we may see 2006 stuff in it by the time of the St. Louis meet. Alpine sent us a press release on it and here are parts of that press release. Check this baby out. I mean, who needs tweeters in the A pillars when you have 6.5" components in there instead? :D

Beyond these two Elements, I also know that mine will be there for you to hear as will fendray's absolutely perfect looking Element.
I am really excited about seeing and hearing these Elements!

I received today the originals of the photos on Kicker's site for the Element that will be at the national meet. I'm going to post them here with some comments. The owner told me that there have been some changes since these were taken.
No comment needed for these, besides don't you wish you had studio shots taken of your E? Just too cool!

Does it seem like his passenger's side dash shelf is taller than ours? I like the change. Also, those A pillars are awesome. I also like the second, built in monitor.

Little details are done so well on this Element: The lights in the door, the buildout fingers on either side of the pocket, the wonderful buildout for the component speakers.

No back seat but look at the size of that port for the subwoofers! I assume that's a port. It might be where the Death Ray shoots out if anybody tries to steal this system. I also just noticed he has Eibach springs installed in this Element.

Here are two shots of the four amps in this Element. Oh, and two more monitors. Now this is an amp rack.

It's back to the dash for the remote control for the amps. You can adjust the gains and crossover points, plus read the voltage going to each amp and even the temperature the amps are operating at from this display.

If I had an Element like this, I'd be sure to say where it the gear all came from. Also, here's a man after my own heart. Who needs any rear speakers, especially if you don't have a back seat!

Come to the national meet and you can see this work of art with your own eyes.

I would love to go and see what they've done to the E's, but I'll be on my way to Alaska. :(. I hope there is a company designing a good Sub Enclosure to fit someplace in the back. Thats something I am really interested in knowing. :D

Gregg, just looking at the pics again and noticed the Alpine Element looks as though it is sporting a NY license plate... is it?
Really looking forward to seeing and hearing both of these Elements as well as yours and others. Mine should be finished before St Louis... I hope. :)
