I did step one...........

installed 06 controls in my 03........

I Decided to go with the Pilot Volume controls to match my Cruise control switches.....I also got both 06 trim plates to match

and the key is the 06 element spool.... Got everything from Majestic you need two screws for the volume control swiches......

used this thread to take everything off.....

http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3120&highlight=steering+wheel+removal

my addition to the thread...disconnect the battery

My next step is to hook up the PAC unit to My Kenwood unit and I am functional

Everything is plug and play

Took about 1 hour....I am slow..... and was worried i would explode the air bag...No warning light either.....

This is what it looks like

Now to hook it up and make it functional

For some reason I can't see the pics on the link to EMass'es thread on removal. Any ideas why? I would really like to use the thread and the pics would help.

Around Labor Day (August- September) of 2005 a revamping of the web site was completed. Unfortunately most or all pictures were lost.:-(

Nice work, Jim. Keep us informed on your progress.

I also like the fact you are doing this, a tough install, and are an admitted novice. Car stereo installations are not that tough. :)
