I have 3 guesses:

1) redesign for next year

2) concept from early 2000's

3) the element looks a little different in japan

Not sure which is right, just guessing

Front end looks too much like a ford exploder......maybe if someone can translate the text we can get a better idea what it is or is supposed to be.

Well it debuts in February 2007...whatever it is. I can only read Japanese to a certain extent without my dictionaries. I'll work on it when I get home.

Also, maybe not so interesting for the overseas market but still new, is that the magazine says Honda will unveil new mini-SUV for Japan in 02/2007. For those not familiar with Japanese market, that means that it would be powered by a 660cc engine. As you can see, the render shows styling that's strikingly similar to the Element.

Hope Genom reads this post before he spends hours trying to figure out what the Japanese writing says on picture. :shock:

Well this is interesting.........Cheaper labor? No shipping cost from Ohio.....wonder what they will call it.

Just saw a 2007 blue Honda Fit at the local Honda dealer today. It was pretty cool. :cool: The headlight housings had blue in them and the rims were fancy,fancy optional ones with Honda center cap but, name brand was on one of the spokes of the rim. Blue and black leather steering wheel and shifter covers really sparked up the interior.I really like the look but, the Element is still for me.
