I picked up my AWD Black Pearl EX-P last night. Great car, but not quite as much fun as my S2000.... Anyway, back to my question. Has anyone found an iPod interface that will sent the data from the ipod to the display of the radio, and allow control of the iPod from the radio. I have an Alpine set up from my last car that will work (I had it set up that way before) but I would like to keep the factory radio if possible.
Additionally, does anyone know if the factory XM antenna is the universal configuration that all the aftermarket tuners use?
Thanks
Mitch

Unfortunately there isn't a solution yet on the iPod interface to factory radio. I have the Honda music link which will let me advance the iPod, but there is no real functionality built into it. Honda has come up with a software interface, but after looking at it and what it would do with my organized iTunes library, I decided against it. It would appear the only solution until they can improve on their interface would be an aftermarket solution. If you find something, let me know.

Hmmm Well since I already have the alpine radio, XM tuner and iPod interface, and I like the way they work together, I will probably just install them.
thanks for the response , and if anyone has found a solution, please let us know

First, are those chicks naked in your avatar? :D
Second, I also do not believe the stock radio will accept any aftermarket iPod interface control.
Good luck with your project!

They certainly aren't wearing any knickers.
Before you other guys get any ideas, to my way of thinking, this av goes right to the edge without going over it. Don't push it, folks. That goes for you, too, Bob. ;-) :D
Welcome to the club, s2ksuzuka. It amazes me how many people go from an S-2000 to an Element. It seems like such a stretch to me but I see it all the time.
My name is Gregg and I'm moderator of this forum. I'm glad you found us here.
To answer your antenna question, it is somewhat adaptable to an aftermarket radio. Here (http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21653) is the reference thread on that issue.
A lot easier solution in my book is James' patent pending hidden antenna trick. Check here (http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19971) and here (http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20040).
You'll be happier with the aftermarket radio for iPod control. As long as you are replacing the radio, do bypass the factory amp and have your main speakers driven directly by the radio. I think you'll find it will sound better. I hate the factory amp. If you bypass the factory amp, you can also use another favorite mod around here, Mike's Mod, to drive the factory sub. You'd need a small stereo amp but you might have that lying around.
Here are an amp bypass thread (http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10869) and Mike's Mod (http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20999).
Good luck. Pictures. We like pictures. Post some pics when you are done.
