OK friends, I have my new Mac Notebook (Tiger) in front of me. It does everything but brush my teeth, and I'll never learn it ALL. I've got some beautiful pix of first camping try---this is a test to see if it comes out!!!

PugMom--you'll get it, Tiger is friendly to a new user, don't you think? Have you gotten lost in the widgets yet? I have Texas Hold 'Em on mine and it's addicting!
The pic looks great. Where did you camp? Also, what did you think of the tent? Keep 'em coming!

Well, I can't seem to duplicate whatever I did, so I'll have to try again tomorrow.

Hey is that screen with magnets on your front window? I think I just had a new idea for the moon roof!

Now how cool is that! I didn't realize there was a tent that connected directly with an E. I've seen the cabana but that's about it.

But even though it looks awesome, I just can't see me using something like that. You guys must live in an area where the climate is much more suitable for "roughing it." I think I'd melt if I had to go camping without an A/C...seriously:D

But I can see how this could be a valuable item to have if we needed to evacuate again...or should I say camping on side of the road since there is NO gas while the eye of the hurricane come directly over us.

Thanks for all the comments and pics!
Sam: For the windows we cut up a mosquito net and just draped it over the doors, shut the door, and secured with magnets. Although not beautiful, worked fine at keeping bugs out!

Kermie: The heat does put a damper on camping! We are supposed to go again July 7-9, and my husband says: NOT if it's hot! Ok, I've seen tents with window air conditioners sticking out of them, but he says what's the use of camping, then?? I think we may have a different take on the camping thing.

I'll try to post more pics tomorrow. Took a break tonight and watched "Batman Begins", just to veg out and relax.

PugMom--I suppose relaxing is acceptable, but let's see more pics. We are a demanding crew aren't we?
Again, where'd you go to camp?

Hey SamIam, consider Seattle Fabrics (http://www.seattlefabrics.com/) at 87th-ish and Aurora. They have fiberglass screen (I'm pretty sure that's what it's called) for a decent price, especially if you get it from the remnants bins. They have a bajillion other cool things too, so bring your wallet.

The rest of you can shop online ... :)

I don't have a tent attachment...but here's a trip with my first 2003 Sunset Orange E! It's not at the actual campsite, but on our way there. Camping in the Shenandoahs! absolutely beautiful!

Nice photos! What happens when/if you forget to remove the tent when leaving? (I'm remembering when my brother took the car out of the garage without opening the garage door!)

Kattoon--are you on E #2??
Yep, I'm on E#2. The dealership made me a deal I couldn't refuse. So I upgraded to a 2006 Kiwi Metallic EX-P :D

Unless they make some major changes...this E should last me a long time!

Here's a pic of my camp kitchen made with 4 milk crates and the ever versatile shoe holder. This worked VERY nicely!

That's a good idea! I'll probably use the picnic table for cooking, but if we go longer or with more people I'm stealing your setup!

Backside of kitchen---what was really neat was that the 4 crates held alot of stuff and just slid under our wood bed frame for transport.

Thanks Bob! Now, shall we tell the nice people the REST of the story?!?!?!!?

Ok : Here goes: Entitled : The Clampletts go Camping or "Hello Mudda, Hello Fadda---"

1. Arrived at campsite #8. Thought it was too sunny. Moved to campsite #7.
2. Set up a site to be envied by Martha Stewart! Everything had a place! Darkness falls, coyotes begin to howl, dogs refuse to sleep. 2:00 am. PugMom is sleeping in tent on a chair with dogs in her lap.

3. Morning comes: after nice breakfast, notice campsite is going to be in sun a good amount of the day. Decide to move to site #6.

4. Day progresses, dogs don't like being in small fenced area. Husband is getting bored. After a rousing game of Yahtzee, PugMom notices pug Skippy has a swollen face and is puking! He looks like the losing end of a prize fighter's fist! Call Vet (back in Nebraska). They suggest we get him to a vet, or at least give him Benedryl.

5. Mother-in-law (who lives just a few miles from camp--We were at Pomona Lake, Kansas), brings out Benedryl and ribs. As we eat, we contemplate our future. The decision is made to pack up the whole da#n mess and go to mother-in-laws house for the rest of the trip. Husband and dog are happy to have air-conditioning, TV, soft beds.

6. The End :-x
