Anyone recommend a good bike mag?

I have been a subscriber to Bicycling (http://www.bicycling.com) for years and get the Mountain Bike supplement with it. I used to subscribe to both, then they stopped Mountain Bike as a monthly and now include it with I think 8 issues/year.

They cover everything that interests me, and have lots of parts reviews and features.

I have also read VeloNews (http://www.velonews.com/) off/on over the years.

I've read some of the other Mountain Biking Magazines, many are geared more towards hucking, downhill and other forms of riding that either I can't do because of where I live or something that doesn't interest me anymore. They are decent magazines, but weren't worth my money for more han picking up a single issue once in a while at the LBS.

Is there any type of riding you do that you want to read more up on?

Did you get the supplement then? If not, call them up and tell them you want it. I think they charge $1/issue extra, something like that. It is a full complete magazine though.

Dirt Rag for MTB, Velonews or Cyclesport for domestic and european racing...
While I have a subscription to Bicycling for the most part I'd have to say it's not worth the paper it's printed on. On occasion the articles are somewhat interesting but the equipment reviews are worthless. Nothing more that product advertisements. The training and riding tips also tend to be fairly worthless for all but the newest riders. Honestly you'll get better information at mtbreview.com or roadbikereview.com.

"Singletrack" and MBR - both UK magazines are the best out there. The Brits take their magazines seriously. They may cost twice as much but it takes me 4 times as long to get through them so it's worth it. You can generally get these at large bookstores.

BIKE used to be good - but now it's really thin.

Otherwise, dirt rag is great - gotta support the east coast fanzine.
