Moving the SPAM question over here on a new thread; might get flamed for going off-topic in the other post! :D Anyway bbq next month would be cool, maybe we can marinate some spam steaks in shoyu and sugar and bbq 'em and make spam musubi! No seriously, whatever works, I'm down for anything.

Just don't really dig my side of the island 'cuz I live out this way... Tanega's suggestion of Sandy Beach would be cool, usually lots of room out there. Trouble w/places like Kailua Beach (for example) is you gotta go pretty early to get the parking.

Sorry, no spam haven out here... But the Koa House makes MEAN pancakes and vinidoche (sp?), that really tender vinegar-marinated pork for Sunday breakfast (usually a long wait or gotta call in)!

Sounds good to me. Maybe we can make BBQ Spam, BBQ Mays Hamburgers and some BBQ Hot Dogs. Or, maybe a pot luck and traveling picnic w/ photo ops here and there. :D Whatever it is let's plan it.

Unless we cruz to Crouching Lion or Laie and eat. That way, we don't have to prep and clean up unless someone is willing to do that. Better we all enjoy the scenery and company rather than cooking but that's just my take.

Hmmmm was thinking about starting in Kaneohe (sorry K-Dogg) and driving down to waimanalo and stopping of at Kanekis (the restraunt right next to 7-11) to get some take out food and then grind at sandys or one of those other parks....sounds good??? hey and Kanekis might even have spam....cool How's about August26th...
