The dealer I ordered from is bringing in chrome & Black for me to choose. I will see if I can place both of them on for a look and a pic. If there isn't a black pic posted by the time I get mine, I will post one for you. (should be 1 - 2 weeks tops)

DHL is supposed to be re-delivering mine today (nobody home yesterday/signature required). As soon as I get a chance to install and take some pix, I'll post 'em.

Oh, that looks good!! Where did you get that one, Aether? Price?

This morning I noticed I've got some crunched areas on my grill already, so I was prepared to start surfing the posts to find out about grill guards. And you've posted pictures of exactly what I want!

I purchased direct from Cloudrider. Shipped to Maryland it came to approx $110 USD after echange rate conversion. The stainless steel version costs a little less.

I also just ordered one from Cloud Rider. Their design looks extremely well thought out and the quality looks great. I did get the polished stainless instead of the black. Living in New England, Cloud Rider advised that the black could chip and show more wear from salt and ice flying into it. So the polished was my choice. From photos, it really changes the appearance of the E. The grille makes the E look a bit more aggressive, from the front.

Anyone have better pics of the chrome one? Can't really tell what it would look like on the website.

Thanks!

That price sounds like you were at a reseller's site and not Cloud Rider's (http://www.cloud-rider.ca/). I just got mine from them two weeks ago for $110 USD. Call them at (306) 761-2119.

Aether, which one of these is what you purchased? I'm guessing it was the 20-912LP but I want to be sure.

#20-910 Screen & Bumper Combo Black Powder Coat Finish
#20-910LP Screen & Bumper Combo (with provision for license
plate)
#20-912 Screen & Bumper Combo (without block heater hole)
#20-912LP Screen & Bumper Combo (license plate/no hole)

Also, how difficult was the installation?

The pics you posted really sold me on this.

Yep, 20-912LP is what I've got.

Install was very simple. You basically screw in the hook brackets on the grill with thumbscrews. Place the grill onto the front of the car and hook it on and tighten the thumbscrews. It probably took all of 10 minutes and didn't even require opening the hood.

Well, I did mention the club when I placed my order. Maybe our fearless leaders should hit them up for advertising?

Looks like we are going to have quite a few Cloudriders in Baltimore.

They really should think about sponsoring this site - it will expose every new computer literate Element owner to their product.

i just got my black clould rider today in the mail. It was so easy to install, Only took minutes and wow what a differance it makes to appearance of Element. I have the SOP and the black is perfect.

P.S. I ordered it last week. I couldn't believe it showed up as fast as it did.

I also had mentioned the board when I ordered mine. And you are right, the shipping was incredibly fast! Put the lower portion on, but am missing one of the locking nuts, so I haven't put the upper portion on yet. Love the look even though I didn't initially like the Cloud-Rider. Still don't think I would like the stainless, but the black is nice.

You can always just pick up a few of the nylon lined lock nuts at the hardware store for pennies, should you not want to wait for them to be sent.

I just got mine and I'm missing two of the clips. Now I can't attach it. The grill looks nice but the attention to detail is piss poor. Now I've got to see if they'll send me the parts.

I got an email from Cloud-Rider today, telling me that they'd quoted me the wrong price for my 2 grill guards (one for my E and one for my husband's Silverado) but that they were standing by the price they quoted. It's not a huge difference (about $8 per set), but it says something good about the company, especially in light of the price problems people had with an aftermarket seller of their products.

I'm looking forward to getting the grill guard. I'm accessorizing bit by bit. I just installed my larger armrest (<15 minutes, with my husband handing me appropriately sized sockets). By the way, I did not have to cut the seat cover (as it says in the directions) for the install.

Now, if I can just get the foglights in this weekend, I'm all set for a while. :)

If your parcels looked at all tampered with,
It may be US Customs you have to thank, for
your missing parts!
At least it's a very common occurance for we Canadians
with packages coming from US, our own Canadian
Customs can be very frustrating!

You are right about the customs. Mine looked untampered with, but after a night's sleep, I'm not looking to point the finger, just to get the parts so I can get the screen on. I've been contacted by the vendor and they are going to contact Cloudrider to request the missing hardware.

Speaking of the black grill, I think my favorite combo would be the Stainless steel upper with the powder coated bottom. Maybe they will offer it this way in the future.
