I know that lowering is all the rage, but does anyone know any way to raise the element to increase the ground clearance?

Raising the E.
Bigger wheels, tires and taller springs

you know, a company in England makes a lift kit for the Honda HR-V over there. Wonder if it could be made to work on the E....

Contact made and reply received. They forwarded me to their North American distributor, but claim that they have a product that will work. I will keep everyone posted!

I have stated is other post that my plan was to use air shocks or bags to raise my element only when needed. I finally got a chance to make some calls today and my dreams have been crushed.

Both of these systems are made for carrying heavy loads, they are not made for driving. If I was to install them and then drive with the element lifted it would do a great deal of damage.

However, the guy at the 4x4 shop had some ideas. 1st, bigger tires increasing clearance by 1/2 inch. 2and, a 2 inch lift kit if one is avialable. (according to a post in mods there is) 3rd, instal a chip to adjust for the bigger tires and lift. (speedo and gearing etc.)

However, with tires, lift and chip this might not be a cost effective project. I may just go with a beefier tire and skip the rest. I think I would rather put my money into some cosmetic upgrades.

I only need a little more clearance and only once in a while. At the cabin in the winter and some trail accesses. It would be cheaper to buy a 2and hand pick up. The element fit my life 98% of the time I don't want to do major changes for only 2 or 3 times a year.
