Hi,
I really liked my 1.8T Turbo Beetle, it was a fast commuter. When I checked Kelly Bluebook to see what it was worth and what it would be worth next year with the mileage I drive, I decided it was time to trade it in. When I test drove an Element I was hooked. I'm saving up for the mods. I plan to add foglights, aluminum tube sidesteppers, custom billet grills, roof rack. One thing at a time. Here's some pictures of my new ride.

I had a 2000 1.8T, good ol' TURBIE. Fun car, but VW customer service was driving me crazy  I had a Case # file an inch thick... Every time VW would have a recall, the dealers would screw up something else fixing it and try to charge me for it. After the 2.0's got such a bad reputation I thought it best to dump that ride for fear of association, even though the 1.8T "Audi" engine was tops and had a 10 year 100K warranty!

Up graded to a 2001 Porsche Boxster S in 2003 after that (no complaints what so ever. Great car!), but couldn't even carry two golf bags and two people in it (the sales brochure showed two bags in the trunk  , ain't no way Porsche). Sold it for $2K more than I paid for it and went with a new '06 EX-P like you. Haven't looked back since. :D

Your gonna like the functionality of the E. It does it all, with style, economy and reliability. Welcome the EOC. Enjoy the ride...

Welcome to EOC!! My last car was a 2005 1.8t Jetta and thow i Love the E, I do miss things about the VDUB. Like the headlights turnoff with the key(drive a car that does that for a while and then switch to one that doesnt and you kill your battery:-o ) automatic door locks at 5mph are nice, and the list goes on, but then again the E is great for not having all these amenities!!
