Hey everyone!
I just bought my Element yesterday, and I have a dilemma that I have no doubt this board can help me with.

I work for a pet care company in San Diego (http://www.fur-crazy.com), and I will be transporting dogs in the back of my E on a daily basis. I have folded the seats up to the side, covered them with vinyl mattress covers (twin size), set up a sturdy barrier from Petco in front of them to keep them securely in the cargo area, and tossed the usual toys and pillows in back.

THE PROBLEM -
How to keep my new E in the best condition possible...
WHILE...
Keeping my pups in the best condition possible!

Eg. something better to protect the seats with, something to keep the floor clean with, something to keep rowdy doggies at bay...anything that with otherwise positively influence the experience for us all!

Thank you in advance...can't wait to read what you all come up with!

Welcome.... You can remove the back seats... Then put down a moving blanket or something on the floor.. ...

for transporting pets, remove the back seats, install murdock mats to protect the floor and provide traction for the puppy paws. To protect the pups, they should wear seatbelt harnesses, you have a number of anchor points for the harnesses in the Element. The harnesses will protect the dogs and driver. You may want to put down some fake fleece pads for comfort. Crates are another option.

Chance rides in the back seat floor, wearing his harness and on a fake fleece pad.

At least in the E, you don't have to worry about hair in the carpeting and barfs!
