I would chop of my legs and arms and feed them to my collies before I would ever feed them any dog food made by Purina. Even it was free. Any company that allows euthansized dead cats and dogs in their food will never get my business. Also any food that contains soy, wheat or corn I dont use because many herding breeds are allergic to these products.

I think Vaherder is refering to the very common practice of pet food companies using products from rendering plants. These companies use "recycled meat and bone meal as a source of protein and other nutrients in the diets of poultry and swine and in pet foods, with lesser amounts used in the feed of cattle and sheep."

The rendering plant issue is being addressed by these companies as we speak and I was just trying to explain the initial reply to your post.

I could use all the help I can get on reducing costs with this ridiculous heat and cost of cooling around here, not to mention the gas prices.

Just FYI all EPTA members should be sent to GITMO. Purina dog food is not he best choice for your dog. And not event the tenth best choice for your dog.
