Sorry for this because I'm sure it's been asked a thousand times. My Dad just bought a used Element and the plastic panels need some cleaning. Is there one product that's better than another or just scrub with soap and water? I've had one body shop owner tell me that some vinyl floor care products work great. Help! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. This is a great forum.

I'm a big fan of Aerospace 303. Others like Mother's Back to Black, but there has been some controversy as to whether or not Mothers B2B will stain the panels black. Aerospace 303 was more of a conditioner and brought out the luster of my panels, but mine is only 5 months old, so not too much sun damage or staining.

I like 303 on the panels but mothers for the black areas around the door knobs and mirrors....

I just started using Mothers BACK-to-BLACK and did notice on the back of the bottle it stated something to the effect of what you use it on does not have to be black. Also the creamy liquid inside the bottle is actually white.

Mothers B2B works great for me. I have used it on all colors of plastic and all it does is add some shine.

I just finished cleaning the E and used Mothers Back to Black on my light gray panels. Works great! :) I had some light scratches on the panels from off-roading over the weekend, rubbed in the B2B, and they are gone :D
