The antenna is about 6-7" long. Your's looks like the mounting plate only. Maybe the antenna extension is inside your vehicle. BlueWillow 08-26-2006, 10:27 AM I'll have to look in the back. There were bungy cords, and the skylight cover still in the plastic in the back. I'll look and see if it's in there, if not, I called the dealer and they said to come in and they put it on for me. It was so dark when we left the dealership the other night, I didn't even pay any attention. The radio was working fine, so I guess it will work even better now, huh? :razz: I guess I was having a blonde moment (and I'm not even a blonde :oops: ) Thanks for your keen eyesight!!!!! ;-) BlueWillow 08-26-2006, 05:23 PM Went to the dealership. The service guy said it obviously had never been put on because there was a factory plug in the hole where the antenna goes. So he popped that out and put an antenna in and off I went. They said that had never happened before. Leave it to me to set a trend! :D Good thing out of all of this was I got to see their service department and it was really great. Very well organized and the staff bent over backwards (it seemed) for every customer that drove in to the service area. I'd bearly got out of my E and a guy was behind me with a bag and paper floor mat ready to put in my car. When I explained to him that I was just there for my antenna, he said it didn't matter what service was being performed, if there was an opportunity for a service person to touch my car, policy stated he had to bag my seat and put in the floor protection. I just love driving my E and all the looks it gets. I had a couple in a Mini Cooper pull in next to me earlier today when I was out running around and ask me how I liked it and that they were thinking of trading in their mini for one. I was actually shocked, as my actual first car of choice was a Mini Cooper, but I decided it was just to small for me, my three dogs and my hubby. So here was a couple with a mini admiring my car instead of the other way around. Makes a girl feel kinda good :oops: calvin13 08-26-2006, 09:02 PM Who does the PDI on these vehicles? I found a plug in the front tire sidewall and they put all new tires on. I never did get an antenna from the dealer after like 7-8 calls and a few trips in. Had to go to E-Bay.
