I finally got to have my first camping trip in my e...i went out to montgomery bell state park in dickson, tn...i ended up camping in my e...i now know what my next mod for it is....pookster's bed frame...the seats werent the best for sleeping, but i made it...the next morning i ended up riding the bike trail out there...i highly recommend it to any mountain bikers...here are some pics of my e and the campsite...also here are the mods so far...i left the memory card with the rest of the pics...ill get them next week

Cool lights on top. What lights did you use and how did you hook them up?

:razz: I used the walmart special...Utility Lights $9.95 for 1....they are cheap bright and easy to replace if needed...ill soon be adding two more hopefully in the near future...right now the lights are directly wired into the battery...the wire goes:

battery--inline fuse----switch---switch to lights

im going to make it

battery---inline fuse--relay---ground to relay---relay to switch---relay to lights

its safer that way

I have not slept on all 4 seats yet. When I drove up to Alaska, I used the passenger side as my bed. I had to add some padding to make the seats comfortable. I eneded up buying a king size egg crate foam cover. It worked great.

it wasnt the worst thing in the world...but i will be doing a bed frame soon...its getting camping weather...also ill be installing a power inverter here soon..ill post pics when i do...hope yall like the pics...im gonna take some more and keep posting...be cool:D

My wife and I (and three corgies) will be making the trip from Northern California where we live to Nashville, TN were our oldest daughter lives. There will be various stops along the way to visit friends, relatives and grandchildren in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Indiana. We plan on camping & sleeping in the E as much as possible to conserve money and enjoy the outdoors.

A week ago we made a trial run of sleeping on the seats all folded flat. The corgies loved it, however I did not. Since then we have gotten a 12 volt pump and full size air mattress. It fits very well with all the seats folded down. There is even enough space for two of the corgies in the front two seats. The corgies think there is just enough room for me there. All of our gear is carried in a ultra light weight fiberglass utility trailer. Wish us luck!
