Hi,

found this on a UK website for European Honda accessories and then traced it back to the manufacturers website.

http://www.xcarlink.com/detail.asp?id=33

It connects where the cd changer would plug in on the back of the head unit, powers your ipod, lets you use the controls from the stereo for basic play functions etc. It says "Compatible with nearly all factory fitted HONDA head units" but as the element isn't in Europe I have mailed them an image of the back of a stock E stereo to see what their reply is.

If it fits and works I'll be first in the cue so I can hook up my new 8gb nano in black to match my E's interior. :D

Sounds like what I and some others have done...

You don't have to go to the UK for the parts.

having looked at the pictures of your install, how does the RCA type connector coming through dash get into IPOD?? Also does the blitz box work with the standard stereo that comes with the EX (double din stereo).

The one I was looking at has an normal Ipod dock connector that will plug straight into it.

Thanks

The pics aren't my install, but I did the same exact thing so....

The connector coming through the dash hooks into the bottom of the iPod, so you get the best sound you can through the stock stereo (better than the AUX connection or an FM transmitter) and it charges your iPod as well. I forget who, but someone here did the same install with a switch to prevent the constant charging of the iPod...do a search and I'm sure you'll find it if interested.

As for the EX stereo...I really don't know. I never saw one pulled out.

Funny. I've been responding to threads as I see them tonight and I only now got to this one. I just answered this question in this post (http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?p=314123#post314123). How coincidental.

You'd need and LX to use this adapter. I'd be a little sceptical about the claims on the website. They're too broad, a little too all encompassing for my taste. A hands-on review would be nice.
