He said it could be done. 4 different shops said it couldn't, but I didn't give up and found one that FINALLY but an aftermarket head unit (Alpine 9807) in my E AND integrated the factory amp and sub and I can still use the AUX port. I am sooooooo happy! It sounds so much better in there now. Thanks to eMass (resident car stereo Guru).

MB Quart PSD 216 component fronts, pioneer 2-ways rear. Have an almost identical setup in another car with less power and is sounds better, until I got the new Alpine in....

It'd be a slight drive for you, but go see Greg and the guys at Audio Connection on Joppa Road in Parkville (not the other 2 stores, the wiring guy works at the Parkville one). Tell them I (Scott with the '03 E and the '96 Del Sol) sent you. They loved getting their hands on an E and took REALLY good care of her. Job was done on time and as promised. They've done a lot of modding work on my other car for me and I've won Best In Show awards with it. I normally like to do my own stereo stuff, but with the E being so new I wanted someone else to do it. Also, I've never integrated a factory sub and amp before, so really wanted someone else to do it so if it got messed up, I'd have a warranty. My new stereo rocks and sounds sooooo good, it now rivals the stereo in my Del Sol, which took me days to put in. I'll post some pics on my website later!
