Hi Folks,
I have an '04 Element EX auto w/ AWD. I have a seriously scored rear rotor and I need to replace it. How do I get the rotor off the hub? I have removed the caliper assy and the caliper/ pad support bracket, but I am not quite sure how to go about removing the rotor itself.

Check to see if it has any screws holding it to teh hub. Some cars do. IF not it just slides off. IF it doesn't seem to budge, whack the back side of it with a BFH (Big F-ing Hammer). MAke sure you first spray around the hub with penetrating oil, this will help loosen it. Hit it once, then for the second hit, try to do it on the opposite side if reachable. Don't hit on the same spot more than twice consecutively. Ussually 2-4 good blows will knock it loose.
