I`m in Bermuda and just checked email. Got one from honda saying it is time to change oil, 6 months, lol:) I only have 2700 miles too!!:|

well, I just passed 4 months and did change number 2 this morning. 4 months, 3 payments, 10300miles.
its been a good ride so far

oil change for my E at every 5000 miles or every 4 months..

Long-standing and mainly agreed-upon advice here is to leave the break-in oil in place for the first 5,000 miles, regardless of time passed. After that, choose your own schedule from among the hundreds of opinions expressed herein. ;-)

really? hmmmm. interesting. i mean about leaving the original oil in for the first 5,000 miles.

okay, assuming that's true, is there a particular kind of oil that honda recommends for the element? also, after the first 5,000 miles, how often would you recommend changing the oil after that? every 3,000 miles?

Honda reccommends 5-20 dino or synthetic. The manual states 5000 miles severe driving conditions and 10000 miles normal driving. Take your pick of those numbers or anywhere in between.
