I was at the stereo store yesterday and the best amp for the size that I could find was a Memphis 16-MC3004 75 watt x 4 ch and it was still too big for the front section under the passenger seat. So has anyone had any luck getting an amp under the front portion under the seat possibly where the stock CD changer goes.

When selecting mine - I didn't have many problems with the height of the amps (considering that most cd changers are thicker than amps) - it's the length and width that was killing me.
I finially decided to go with two 2 channel amps because the footprint for each was smaller. I hid one in the factory subwoofer compartment and the other under the passenger seat.
I would have put one under each seat except I had a nav system that was already under the passenger seat and I needed it access to it.
I had to modify the trim panel under the seat to accomodate the amp but since the piece is replaceable and inexpensive and I was able to fit the amp in without altering the ductwork at all - I decided to hack away. :D
The finished work is below - here's a shot of the under seat amp...

That looks great, thanks for the pics, what you have here is pretty much what I want to do. I would like to do the job my self like I used to do in the past but taking out the seat and all that crap is almost worth paying a pro to do the job. I will print this up and bring it into the shop and see what can be done at a hopefully reasonable price. I want to avoid puting an amp in the sub enclosure because I may get the Stealth Box when it comes out on the market. I also miss my CD changer that I had in my last car so I need to have space for that as well which means that the amp will most likely go under the passenger seat only. I will go broke but it will be worth it in the end.

I am using a Blaupunkt amp. They are very small and have sufficient power. I think they have class T technology so it will almost never get very hot. This amp is powering my 8" sub and is giving out 400 rms bridged.

Those Blau's are perfect for when you need to put some serious power to a sub and space it tight.
I would not recommend these types of amps for powering full range or component speakers however. Get a traditional Class AB amp for that type of application - they provide much cleaner sound than Class T or D amps.
I hope you don't mind but I'm posting your pics right here for all to see since I think many will be interested in your install and more people will see them this way...
Please let me know if you want me to remove them.

This is the result I'm looking to get when I get my Eclipse 4 ch amp in this weekend. The pics look great. I have a question, Ho did you guys mount the amp to the floor. Did you actually drill holes in the floor boards. Also which hole in the firewall did you run the power line through. The only one I can see is the one that has a white cable (I think its the throttle cable) and I prefer to stay away from that.

Thanks for posting my pics eMass! I wasn't sure how to post pics so I used a link.
ShaneS,
For my install, I just used velcro tape to attach it to the floor. Personally I would drill into the floor but my friend suggested the velcro tape since he had some lying around. I'm not sure how other people had installed the power line, but I drilled a hole thru the firewall just above the brake pedal and caulked it inside and out for protection against the "elements".
Soon I will have more pics on my setup and show the sub I'm using.

Finally, I got a chance in between a few rain storms to get my Eclipse EA3422 amp installed under the passenger seat. The entire job took about 6 hours. I electrical taped all the wiring harnesses. I ran the power lines down the middle by the console and the audio lines under the mat right next to the door sill. Everything works perfectly and would you believe that there is NO alternator whine, amazing! The cables I used were Cadence twisted pair which came with an entire amp wireing kit with fuse and all. I just have to get to the Honda dealer to replace a few of the plastic pop in clips that hold the door sill on. Hopefully the Focal 165 CA speakers for the back will be in by friday for my weekend trip :D . Here are some pics of the amp installation.

Here are the pics of my Eclipse PA5422 that I installed under the passenger seat, It just fits and it cannot be seen at all unless you actually look under the seat. I had an EA3422 which was replaced because it did not 8v inputs. This PA5422 is a much cleaner amp for highs and mids which are amazingly crisp. I have the gains turned down a bit because I am still using the factory sub which I am really looking forward to replacing with the JL Stealthbox and another class D amp under the drivers seat.
