Hi All. Introducing the newest member of the household, Orvis, the Mighty O-Tone, the Orvinator, O-Nose and yes, even O-Zilla.

Going from a retriever to an American Fox Hound was a shocker. Unlike our last dog, Orvis moves the beat of different drummer (Dude. I'm am so mellow, I think I'll just nap all day on the couch).

Anyway. Nice to have a dog back in the family even if he does howl when riding in the E. Oh, and steal pizza boxes off the kitchen table. Evil Devil Dog.

Cheers,

Toby

I have a chocolate lab named orvis. I had a grand cherokee orvis edition that he thought was his too. when I got him I had high hopes of hunting birds with him. turns out he is a bit of a pacifist and didn't like guns. he loves to run through the woods when grouse hunting.

CSM,

Dude, I lived the same scenario. I have a chocolate lab who is afraid of geese (in her defense, she was assaulted by one while swimming . . . left a nasty gash in her forehead) and generally doesn't like guns, either. My wife spoils her.

Maybe the next dog . . .

hilarious ... MY chocolate lab is afraid of just about everything. He nearly jumped out of his fur the other day when the broom fell over onto the floor. He's not very brave, but he's a beautiful boy!

Anyway, so as not to hi-jack the thread .... my two labs sleep on Orvis beds, so they feel a kinship to your new family member! congrats!!!

One of my Border Collies is afraid of llamas. Sheep are no prob...came from a working farm. But when my mom moved next to a llama farm and I took Willie over there, he freaked. The llamas ran after him because they associated him with feeding time...the herd's owner used border collies.

Alpha male, my ass.

Never underestimate the genetic desire of working dogs. My Aussie Cattle Dog (blue healer) merely assumed my cats were very short-legged, especially stupid, cattle, and was thrilled to be able to "herd" them, along with the tires on my boat trailers, too! :-|

Welcome Orvis. Just a suggestion, sleeping like that will have you visiting the chiropractor.
