I replaced the stock steering wheel on my E with the leather steering wheel from a Honda Pilot. The two steering wheels are the same size.
Bought it off of Ebay for $30. Looks much better than the stock wheel and easy to install. Plus it was cheaper than the Honda leather wrap you can buy ($46).

Could you offer some details as to what all is involved in replacing the wheel, please?
Here are some questions...
Is the Pilot steering wheel the same diameter?
Does the end result look factory installed? (Got a photo?)
What is your skill level, and how long did it actually take to do the switch?
What tools are required?
Thanks for sharing the knowledge!

Okay.....silly girl question.....why would you replace the steering wheel?? Just curious, now I will go back to washing my hair and painting my nails <girlie giggle>
Bush,
Thx for posting a picture.
As to the other questions:
Yes, the diameter of the new wheel is the same as the Element's.
All you need to replace the steering wheel is a Torx screwdriver and a socket wrench.
The steering wheel does not come with the electronic controls. Just the steering wheel. As the head units are different in the Element and Pilot, not sure if they would be interchangable.
The actual installation took less than 10 minutes. Make sure the front wheels are straight. The airbag comes right off after the torx screws are removed. Umplug the wire harness clips and pull the airbag off gently to avoid pulling on the wire harness. Then use a socket wrench to remove the steering wheel.
HINT: Prior to removing the bolt holding the steering wheel out, pull on the steering wheel to loosen it. Without the bolt slightly engaged, you will hit yourself in the face with the steering wheel.
Take the plastic pieces off the old wheel and replace onto the new steering wheel. Then mount onto the steering column, reattach the wiring harnesses, and screw the airbag into place.
Finished product is a dramatic improvement over the stock steering wheel and looks factory. Much better result than using a leather steering wrap.
There were 2 for sale on Ebay when I checked this morning.

I replaced my E steering wheel with a Pilot leather wheel this weekend. The dash light for the air bag now remains on. Anyone know how to reset the light?

What are the controls on the left-hand side of the wheel?

I think those are audio controls for the Pilot's stereo. I did this install too, but I pulled too hard and the SRS Reel Cable fell out. I wound it up too tight, and it snapped on when I turned the wheel. Ended up being a $160 repair job, so be careful! ChuckB, the light should be off if you've reconnected everything properly. If the long white spool cable fell out, you might have done the same thing I did.

Hey, I just finished my Honda Pilot steering wheel install too! What a big difference.
See below thread for things to watch for and measurements of the bolts/screws. Ditch the Element stich job accessory and go for the leather Honda Pilot wheel. It's the best $40 I've ever spent on a car!!!

Yes, the new steering wheel is a perfect swap and retains all of the original functionality.

All right, now I've got to walk down the street and check out a pilot steering wheel at my dealer.
