Two questions:

Who invented spinners?
Have they been executed yet?

I think spinners are odd, but you pretty much slammed the guy for asking a simple question.

Me too!.

I like the when they put all the weights on the one side of the spinner, so it doesn't spin. Then when you drive down the road the spinner stays stationary, looks cool and people are like "wtf, he is moving but the rims aren't".

The modern spinner is attributed to:

The invention of the spinner is attributed to David Fowlkes Jr. (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=David_Fowlkes_Jr.&action=edit) Fowlkes graduated from Rufus King High School (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rufus_King_High_School) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milwaukee%2C_Wisconsin) before moving on to the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minneapolis_College_of_Art_and_Design) when he was 17. With a sketch and a prototype Fowlkes created the first spinner for a design project in 1990 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1990). The prototype then remained stored until 1998 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1998) when Fowlkes was working at Reebok (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reebok) and met his future business partners, Hank Seemore (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Hank_Seemore&action=edit), and Ian Hardman (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ian_Hardman&action=edit). Together the three formed Davin Wheels (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Davin_Wheels&action=edit) with a $250,000 loan from the Rhode Island Economic Development Corp (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Rhode_Island_Economic_Development_ Corp&action=edit).

But spinners in one form or another have been around since the 1950's.

I got these awesome rims that spin at the exact same speed and direction as the tires! I'm pretty sure they are standard on the LX model.

WE can only hope spinners and aftermarket vinyl roofs will become a distant memory like curb feelers, wire wheels covers and those cheesey trunk mounted boomarang antennas.

I thought it would be cool to put on a spinner with a hamster wheel in it. Turns out, this was what we call in the industry, a REALLY stupid idea. See, the hammy got in really good shape, broke out of the spinner when I went to feed him one day, and beat the everloving crap out of me. Then to add insult to injury he stole my E.

I hope this life lesson will help you make a decision considering spinners and hamsters. My name is KM, thank you for listening.

P.S. this is what he looked like, please alert the authorities as he is dangerous and can bench press two xBs at the same time.

I dont know about the E on spinners. When I think of spinners, I think of the $200 chevy that these guys buy, spray it in metalic purple paint, and put ginormous spinners on them, that cost more than the car itself. Please, dont let me see the element in one of those nightmares. :-?

Why go that small, you know they now make 28 inch rims. Thats what you need on your 1986 Chevriolet Caprice or Ford Crown Vic.
