: New Owner in Cleveland
mtfbwy 11-22-2006, 08:07 AM Hey all!
I just picked up an 2006 Alabaster Silver Element EX-P 4WD MT about two weeks ago. I traded in a 1999 Subaru Outback AWD MT. I love this vehicle! Honestly, the Subaru had better handling and a superior AWD system but the reliability was just NOT there. All kinds of bizarre little issues with this vehicle. The Element's i-VTEC engine wins out in the power/torque department over the 2.5 boxer engine and you cannot beat the versatility of the interior. It's also nice driving a niche vehicle. When I bought my Outback it was fairly new and you didn't see one on every corner. The Honda manual blows away the tranny in my Outback as well. Very precise and great clutch feel.
In all the years I had the Outback I didn't do much to it at all but for some reason the Element screams to be customized. I've just done simple factory accessories so far like floor mats, cargo mat, splash guards and cargo mat but last weekend I added the Harmon Kardon Drive + Play and I love it.
Here are some quick snaps of the new E:

wingdr 11-22-2006, 08:50 PM Too bad u don't live closer, i am sure i could help you mod it! The weekend after I took home my '05 4wd we got 12" of snow on sunday and I was called out to work before any plows or traffic. NO problem with that much snow, you are going to luv it in the cleveland area.
I am about 45 min east of Summit racing by rt 11 and rt 82 interchange. If the P were available when I got my E, I would have gone with the same color as you did, looks great, Tim
AND welcome to the club!!!
