Greetings all-
Well, the uber-annoying plastic creaking/ticking noise that seems to be emanating from somewhere in my steering column (see: http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29421) continues-- And since this is a car with less than 2 weeks on the road, it's really bugging me.
So, I took it to Santa Monica Honda (where I bought the car)'s service dept yesterday morning. I waited for 4 hours as they test drove the car, acknowledged the annoying noise, reportedly disassembled/checked some of the assembly, and returned it to me... Saying, "Yep, we couldn't fix it either."
Anybody have thoughts? Even though this is a small issue, it's quite irritating as I can hear it even with the radio on. I tried putting some felt padding in (between the column and the dash) but that didn't work, so--
I am looking for the best dealer service dept in los angeles-- the guys who know these Es inside and out. I can't believe the service i got at Honda of Santa Monica-- "Yep, you just bought a car that makes an annoying noise. Sorry." Outrageous.
Please help. Thanks in advance for your recommendations.
