I just bought the Nuvi 360 from Costco, and I'm wondering where you guys all mounted your GPS cube? I know there's the proclip, but is there anywhere else you guys stuck the Nuvi?

I mounted mine on the top of the dash with the disc beside my Starmate.

Hi

I have a 660 on a ProClip. It's in the "left side" position. That puts it nice and close for punching stuff into the screen. It also gets the speaker and mic close for phone calls.

The only thing I'm a still working on. What's a good route for the power cord? The only power outlet I have found so far is on the passenger side. Since the 660 has and FM reciever in the power plug I can't do the "chop off the plug and hard wire" fix.

Add-a-circuit and new 12v plug. Look on the board for both spdrcr5 and Genom installs using this method.

The add-a-circuit is a great method. And everything can be hidden behind the dash with no wire cutting.

The 2 parts together should cost about $12 or less.

Hi

The add a circuit thing might work. I drove up to Boston today and I'm not quite sure if I will leave the nav in it's current position. It kind of blocks the view of the radio.

I have mounted my Magellan 3050T on top of the dash. I did not need to use the disc. The sunction on the Magellan mount works pefectly.

Hi

I tried the Garmin mount on the top of the dash and it would not stay stuck. I only wear a 36" sleeve on a shirt and there are places on the E's dash I can not reach. It might stick to one of them though.

I do have the ProClip for the "right side" mount sitting at home. I may try it next.

Or this will work if you just want extra power adaptors

Hi

The left side mount is begining to grow on me. Having the whole thing where you can poke it with your hand on the weel is nice in some cases.

Right now I'm searching for an external speaker with an amplifier in it to attach to the Nuvi. When I have the radio on the nav commands can be a bit hard to hear.

Of course I *suppose* I could just turn the radio down ....

I just got a Nuvi 360 for Xmas and installed it using the Proclip system on the drivers side. Works great. Now I am looking into a way of running a right angle mini plug out of the head phone jack to the AUX input in front of the passenger without crossing the front dash.
Anyone run a cable behind the sub and route it just above the AUX input in the dash?

Hi

I was going to move the Nuvi over to the right side of the radio but changed my mind. I have gotten very used to being able to punch it with my hands still on the wheel.

Do you want ot run into the AUX input for MP3's or for other stuff?

Yes,
I am glad I hv it close to my right hand and the wheel.
I want to put some MP3s on a 2 or 4 Gb SD card and be able to play music AND hear the instructions from the 360.
I bought a right angle gold mini plug today at radio shack and am looking for a thin, black cable to use.
Anyone get behind the dash ABOVE the AUX plug? I would like to drop it down from there if I can fish it behind the dash from the driver's side.

Hi

Be carefull with the 4 GB SD's. Some people seem to have trouble with them (as in they only get 2 GB of it to work).
