My son and I were going to attend the Shenandoah Meet on t 12-06. Due to reasons out of our control we were not able to attend. But we went this last weekend! The Shenanddoah's Skyline drive is only open from Front Royal down to Big Meadow! So Sat. we took Route 340 from I64 to Lurray Caverns. We got to the Skyline Drive about 20 minutes before it closed, so they did not want us to use it to drive up to Front Royal. We backed tracked to 340 and took it the rest of the way North, and stayed in Front Royal for the night. Next Morning we drove around town, and then explored the Skyline Drive!

Four miles into the trip my Halo of Honda protection passed on! We will miss you!
Yes I have cleared the Maintenace light!

Ice storms around Thanksgiving damaged much of the tree tops on the southern half of the park that's why it is still closed!

I left many pictures out due to my son being in them, so this is just a sample of the memory used up by pictures we both took!
Thanks!

I hope to in the next year or two. We have been to Dillsboro & Bryson City, North Carolina. We have 7-1/2" gauge and 24" gauge Live steam locmotives here! I was looking to go to Cass, West Virginia this Spring! When we get to PA, I hope to do a bunch of stuff up there as well! Thanks for the info! :D

If you time your visit right they have Thomas the Train engine there, if your son is still into that.

Thanks. That's why we were in Dillsboro. But we took a regular train ride from Bryson City.

Thanks Dog!
