I got the sportster 4 for Christmas, so now I am looking for help. What have those of you hiding the antenna wire done to hide it? If you just mount it on the outside like a regular install what panels did you run it under? And what would be a good mounting bracket to us for the E, I really dont want to use the vent bracket or the suction cup bracket. Any suggestions on the besst way to hide most of the wires.

I mounted mine on the small left shelf ( left of the sterring wheel ) ran the wires down under the steering wheel for power, I have a 3 way cig lighter unit in front ofd the sub woofer, for my sirius, blackberry and the occasional portable DVD player for the kids. I rthen ran the antenna out the trim work of the door, out under the windshield end of the hood and eventually mounted the antenna unit on to the hood itself. It sticks out on to the hood just a centemeter or so. I did this so that it could temporaily be removed for car washes and airport parking ( theft).

You wouldn't see any wires unless you were really looking for them

It works fine.
