Just tried my zune in my 07 SC. There is a slight hissing noise coming from the aux when you plug it in. I tried unplugging the zune and the noise is still there. It also made a loud popping noise when I disconnected it. ???????

If your volume on your cd player is up like 20 it will always hiss and pop, esp. on connect or disconnect.

I think the zune dock basically outputs almost max volume out the a/v plug(which is also variable via the remote) b/c when I plug my aux in to the dock thats mounted on my dash my normal daily volume is now only 6-10 compared to 14-18 when using the headphone jack.

Right now my dock is wire with the wires showing but once I know that I like this setup i'm going to route them thru under the dash.

I don't use a Zune (I have a Dell DJ), but I think it should be the same in any car. I have to turn my MP3 player all the way up to get it to be heard at a volume equal to the other sources (radio, cd, XM, etc). I just got into the habit of turning the player all the way up, that way I don't have to turn my radio up louder. I've had the player in at least 3-4 different cars and it's always the same.

As the previous poster mentioned, that pop could be because you have your radio turned up too loud.
