Tiki 01-05-2007, 04:22 PM We went on a road trip from San Francisco > Las Vegas > Grand Canyon. During Christmas and New Year. Total drive was 2056 miles. We also stop at Las Vegas. Gotta tell you, they have a HUGE dog park! Anyway, I had my dog along with me all the way. Have you been to the north side of the canyon ? It's much wilder and you can camp for free outside of the park and explore without crowds...not that you had too many crowds this time of year. I've never been, but hope to one of these days. We have Waimea Canyon over on Kauai, often referred to as the "GC of the Pacific", but it's perhaps 1/10 the size of the real thing. :rolleyes: Yeah, the poochie peering around the seat is a great pic! Dogs are so expressive! Tiki 01-06-2007, 09:32 PM :D My dog sleeps pretty tight and quiet behind rear seat even a long trip like this except when we eat something he wakes up and try to join!. We didn't have DSLR this time just the tiny one, Nikon CoolPix S1. Pictures came out pretty nice when you use the right mode with tripod.
