I have a chance to buy new OEM wheels and tires from 05 MDX. Does anyone know if they rub?

depends on what you're riding? you'll have to fill in your profile and let us know what you got and where you're at.

i believe the fit without rubbing, but those may have been 235/65/16s that someone had.

i know there are a lot of threads on here about tires and how BIG you can go. a couple people have made some slight modifications to get them not to rub.

If the link doesnt work

the 17" is 1.00" overall larger in diameter
and 3.14 in circumference

if your odo reads 65 you will be actualy going 67.32

I have a 07 Lx 2wd. I have read most of the postings which indicate that it "should" fit but i have not seen anyone with those dimension saying it does not rub. My other option is to replace the tires with 225/60/17 which is pretty well the same size as the factory. I would like to avoid doing that given that the set i am looking at comes with the brand new tires.

I have also looked at http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html to see and i do realize that its about an inch bigger and that my speedo would be a bit off.

There are a few of us running 235/65-17's (Outpost is one I think)

You shouldn't have any problem if you keep the wheel offset in the low 40's (40mm or 42mm) and the wheel width at 7 or 7.5 :)

Here's a look at 235/65's and 255/60's on a 17x7.5 inch wheel with a +42 mm offset.

In this pic, the E has been lowered 1.5 inches.

The 235's did not rub. The 255's had a slight rear rub under full compression

The stock MDX ('02-'06) wheels have a +45mm offset....so you should be fine.

I have them on my E and no rubs. I had them on stock suspension and also with H&R springs 1.5" drop no rubs. Also I had over 1000lbs inside with the lowered suspension on a road trip for over 3 hours with no rubs.

I am selling my MDX wheels and tires too. PM me if anyone is interested.
