So I just bought a new SC and like most of you reading this forum I am looking to upgrade from the factory stereo.

I have to admit that for the most part I do not do any of my own installs (or my own stunts for that matter) but I DO like to sound like I kinda know what I am talking about when I do go to purchase a new head unit... So with all of that prefaced my noob question is: Is the unit in the SC a double din? Crutchfield lists no double din system as "fitting" but I am seeing fellow EOC-ers with all manner of double din sized systems with little or no information as to whether or not it did indeed fit with or without any mods.

While we are on the subject of double din systems... Anyone got a fav? Looking for DVD/NAV been considering between the Pioneer Z1 (or if I wait long enough the Z2) or the Kenwood P-NAV6019. Obviously I want steering wheel controls to maintain and ipod controls on screen are of course a must.

What do you respected lot think?

Yessiree I think all Honda's a currently double DIN. I think DIN stands for Duetch Indutrie Naturale or something like that. Basically it's a German engineering standard which has become THE standard throughout the automotive electronics industry. The DIN standard is a rectangular opening approx 7" wide by 2" high. A double DIN unit fits into an opening 7" wide by 4" high. Oh those Germans are clever.

If I were buying a DVD HU I'd by the Clarion. Because I haven't seen too many and Clarion makes ace stuff. I like to be different. I've seen them online for $650. Nav and Ipod ready.
