Hello all!

I just wanted to introduce myself. My name's Lee and I live in Las Vegas with my wife Kari and we're expecting a baby boy any day now. I just signed up on the forums last Friday and purchased my Galaxy Gray Elmo SC on Saturday! Looks like this place is packed with friendly people! I'm looking forward to my stay here! :)

Welcome WhatNoise???,
congratulations on your progeny and also good choice with GG SC.
:D

Thanks. I appreciate it!

I'd like to think of the Element as a progeny of the S2000 … it has 8 more pounds of peak torque anyway!

"Elmo"

I love it!

It makes me laugh when I call them Elmos…

Welcome, What! Hope you can make it to the national meet this summer.

You get extra credit for filling in your profile right off the bat.

I'll have to check in to the meet for sure. I need all the credit I can get, being a newb and all!

Welcome to the Cult! I have found this board to be filled with information and waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many ideas that cost me money. Buying the E is only the beginning. Now the fun begins.

Is this your first baby? Lands End makes a GREAT diaper bag for about thirty bucks.

Welcome. As a fellow newbie I agree this is a fun group here. Elmo is a great name. I struggled on a name and settled on "Rootie"....as in beer. The E seems to respond well to name calling. Much better than me:)

I want to give a shout out, too! Finally picked my "E" up today!

I've got fog lights, cargo cover, and body side moldings (not crazy about the look, but my other cars get to many door dings) on the way.

I've got to get some kind of billet grill in the nose, but so far haven't seen one for the SC. I hope to see one soon!

*sigh* Forget the Accord. Now I am wanting an SC. They do come in Automatic, right? My dumb@$$ can't drive a stick.

I want an NBP or a Galaxy Grey SC...

How much are the running these days?

Yea, mine is an automatic. I've had it for two days and love driving it around. I don't know how I ever survived without XM Radio before! It rocks!

I bought mine for $21,996 before TT&L. Auto tranny and window tint (driver & pass. doors - the rest of the windows come tinted from Honda). No other extra's for me. I'd rather add them later on my own terms. There's no options on the SC, just accessories that the dealership charges way too much for. The places online sell the Honda accessories for much less.
I've already ordered some stuff, and can't wait to install them. I'll also be adding a remote start/keyless entry alarm in the next week or two.

Good luck with your search for a new SC - you'll have no regrets!

congrats on the baby.

get familiar with the L.A.T.C.H. system in your car. it can possibly save your childs life. I also suggest taking a car seat class. Some fire departments offer them as well as public health offices in your city. If both say they dont offer them, ask them why not......

Hello again! I haven't had a chance to get back on here in a while. The day after I started this thread, my wife went into labor! Our baby boy, Gavin Jett Ritchie, was born on Jan. 26th @ 10:52pm … 19.5" long … 7 lbs 2 oz! Kari and Gavin are doing great. He's our first, so we're all just getting used to being at home. I'm happy to report that things are going very smoothly.

I just wanted to thank you all for the warm welcome, congratulations (both on the E and the baby) and all the helpful advice. I really appreciate it! Kari had an appointment at one of the local hospitals the day before Gavin was born to have the carseat installed, so we're all covered there … latch system and all. We're ready to rock and roll with the Elmo box! The windows are being tinted today. I'll eventually pick up the rear spoiler and possibly lower it.

Thanks again to you all!!! :-)

Here's a couple pics of the little guy … sorry none of the Element yet!

I like "Elmo" too.... I should get my nephew to start calling my car that... though, it might confuse him.... The poor thing is 2 and obsessed with "mo-mo"

Yes I tinted the front I believe its 15%..yeah my tint guy did a 15-5 combo...15 on the front and 5 on the rest to make it match. Thank you everyone for the kind words!
