lilherc79 02-03-2007, 12:02 AM I noticed how everyone is postin their Es in the snow. So i finally dug these pix up. These are from my trips to Mammoth and Tahoe. Needless to say... can you spot the E?
Yea these are from 2 different trips.
lilherc79 02-03-2007, 12:03 AM Here they are dug up!
This from the first set.
lilherc79 02-03-2007, 12:06 AM this from the 2nd set.
This storm was EPIC!
100+ inches in 3 days!!!! our cars were completely buried as you can see from the pic in the first post! took 4 hours to dig the car out! you can even see the imprints of the bumper in the snow!
I know there was at least 4-5ft of snow ON TOP OF THE E before we started diggin it out.
lilherc79 02-03-2007, 12:10 AM Checkout the snow pack on the side!!! its close to over 10ft!!!
M1 1I 1K 1E 02-03-2007, 08:34 AM Hey thanks for sharing the pics! Really cool! I'd love to see that much snow in my life
.....probably wouldn't like digging my element out of 10 ft of snow though, lol...
hiker chick 02-03-2007, 08:49 AM S N O W E N V Y !!!
Terrific pics!! Thanks for posting them!
:)
DrumminChick 02-03-2007, 11:31 AM O M G. Good thing I have never seen that much snow. :-o
lilherc79 02-03-2007, 01:47 PM Regardless of how much snow was there. The biggest surprise was how well the E performed under those conditions.
The only complaint i have is due to the low under carriage. It actually got caught in the snowpack that was blown underneath the car. I had to dig under the car to free the car. All in all, the E performed admirably and gives me great assurance of its potential in the snow in case the next time i run into something like this.
poetdante 02-03-2007, 01:52 PM man we got half an inch and schools were either cancelled or on a 2hr delay

Hey lilherc79, cool pics. I am interested in seeing some pics of the front of your E. Are those fogs placed directly on the grill? Not sure if you posted these already, if so can you direct me to the thread? Thanks!

Since you have been digging extensively in the snow I want to ask...
When the AWD system engages, for how long does it remain engaged? Does it release instantly and then re-engage again quickly? Does this cause a jerking at all?
Speedy Toaster Dave 02-27-2007, 05:20 AM looks good FREEDOM...:D
dancetiludrop 02-27-2007, 05:42 PM ExwSCnose....see if this thread helps :D

FrEEdom 03-04-2007, 04:53 PM Thanks Maximo, its come in handy a couple of times.... Right there it actually wasn't too bad, I think a 2wd coulda done it, but its nice to be safe.-- Its my home away from home... a week before that whole area was ice!
Cemorzzz 03-05-2007, 06:24 PM -warm cool breezes...

kustomrydes 05-16-2007, 06:28 AM if I walked outside and saw 10' of snow I would just go back in and wait until spring.
Hondamade4dogs 05-16-2007, 06:43 AM I spotted this element driving by on NW Expressway and Villa in OKC...New SC
