Just a reminder that the Westminster Kennel Club will be holding its annual show this Monday and Tuesday. Feb 12/13

I hear from his owners that last years winner (Rufus) will be making a few media appearances. :-) He is so cool.

Anyone here with a connection to a dog being shown this year? A friend of mine will be showing her colored Bull Terrier Gryff. He is quite impressive to say the least.

His AKC name is
CH CORSAIRE CHROME HOSS OF TEAROCK, ROM (http://corsairebullterriers.com/Gryffon2005.html) and he is a champion in England,America, Canada, and Mexico.

I hope all is well in Element and dog show land for all of our members. I will be posting my show schedule very soon so if you are going to be at a show look me up at the Bully ring.

Best regards,
HUTMO

We were over the moon to see that a playmate & cousin of our BT won best of breed for white bullies, Horizon's Harmony of Aragon aka Annie. Hip hip hooray for Aragon Bull Terriers! Plug plug: http://aragonbullterriers.com/ That's our Willy on the puppies page.

Was also rooting for the Great Pyrenees Tip'NChip's American Legend who is from the same Kennel as Aragon. He won best of breed as well. Woo hoo!

Have to say I wasn't rooting for the Dandie Dinmont. Not a big fan. and if I heard Bill Cosby mentioned one more time I was gonna go on a bullie run myself! The Akita and Bouvier were our favs but I had a feeling that the Spaniel would take it. So the reign of Terrier is over and it's on to the year of the Spaniel. Bravo!

I was disappointed - I liked every dog in BIS EXCEPT the Springer Spaniel! I was hoping the PBGV or the Bouvier would go BIS - I have never been a fan of Spaniels and ALL the Springers I have known have been hyper and nutzo when not actually hunting.

BTW the Stan Poodle is one of my Stan Poodle's "cousins" and looks just like our Indi except white - same face.

Always watch Westminster - some years we even have a 2 night "watching" party....the "Super Bowl" for dog lovers!

Yes she looked good out there. Marcy did a nice job handling her. Paula, Kevin and the ret of their group are great people. Annie's father is also a very pretty boy. I remember seeing him when he was a young pup.

Who is Willie's father? He is a pretty boy.

Cartman is Willys pops and is he a big boy nutter. http://aragonbullterriers.com/showwins.htm#Cartman
Talk about a fireplug of muscle. Willy is petite in comparison which is not an all together bad thing as I like having my knees and furniture intact after his runs. :)

I remember Cartman well. His dad Jack (Unaka Supernova Starman)

was always one of my favorite dogs. Willie has some very nice dogs behind him.

Well Willy definitely didn't inherit that broomhandle straight tail Jack has. Jack looks so perfect that he almost looks fake. What a handsome dog. Nice to know Willy has generations of good stock in him. Thanks for the pic!

Very nice website by the way. Winston is striking. Love those brindles.

Diamond Jim (James) who won the National and Westminster is co-owned by my trainer :-) She has been breeding dogs for over 30 years. James is her BEST dog.

James is one sweet dog who loves to show! I know some English Springers have a history of "Springer rage" - I have not seen it in James or the other dogs from the breeder.

James retired after the two big wins. His owner plans to continue showing him in rally, freestyle and other events. He also has some "girldogfriends" waiting for him ....
