Well... after watching you kids for 3(?) years now, I have finally gotten an E.

A little back story...

We're a Honda family. My grandfather swore by them, and my first car that I purchased was a 98 Civic EX Coupe. I bought it new, not really ever having a stick shift car, and 6 years and 175k later, traded it in for my 04 Civic Si. The wife had a really bad Chevy Corsica when we got married, and we test drove an 03 Element, but she wasn't thrilled with the way it felt compared to the luxe feel of the 03 Accord Coupe, which we got. 3 years later we have a little 18mo. baby girl who has been very good with dealing with being wedged into the Accord's back seat. Now that she's bigger, we realized that we need a more family friendly ride. We test drove the Rav-4, the new CR-V and the FJ Cruiser. We were really close to getting the RAV last night, but I had a fair amount of anxiety about NOT getting a Honda. There's something about being able to go to the same dealer to get oil changes, etc. that is comforting. Aside from it being a Honda, and them being pretty much bulletproof cars. The wife dispatched me this morning with orders to "come back with something that is either black, grey or silver, that is larger than the Accord, but has a lower monthly payment"

She test drove a NBP Auto SC last night and loved it, so after about 15 minutes of back and fourth, I managed to get the car for $22,900 and $11,500 for the Accord as a trade. They threw in a rear spoiler for me to make up for the fact that another dealer said that they could do $22,600. I am pleased with the deal and beside myself with the SC. Its so much more quieter and refined than the original model that I drove in 03. It will get tinted later this week and also have the spoiler added. I will post some good photos later, once it stops raining here in SoCal. I am so proud to be a E owner and as usual, so very proud to be a Honda zealot.

Congrats and welcome to the club! My wife and I have always been a fan of Hondas, too. They're great cars. :)
