Shmee 02-13-2007, 01:55 PM What's up with that crazee center console?
Is that custom or only available on the current models? Any chance of a retro-fit kit for the '03 losers like myself??
The current center console in the '03's is at best annoying and pretty much non-functional.. Me dont likes it.

That console is available on eBay. Do a search for element console. I paid $105 shipped to my house. It's supposed to fit all E's.

Be careful on the install. My AVS Bugdeflector was a bit warped. Didn't find that out til I slammed the hood shut (had to, it wouldn't close on its own). It pushes up the drivers side of the hood about 1/8th of an inch. Noticeable, but not too much. It also nicked the paint on the inside of the headlight housing.

The name was on the box it came in with. I forget. It was a red logo.
Elemental Glory 02-13-2007, 03:53 PM Very nice ride. I do have a question and probably a dumb one. Your head lights are all clear? care to tell me how?

Ok thanks. Those are like the WeatherTech window visors. They cover the whole window and dont stop above the mirror.
Thanks again

First of all you can buy them on E-bay. But you can also do it your self.

Do a search. You may find more info than the link posted above.
Ink Slinger 02-13-2007, 09:30 PM I installed my AVS bug deflector last week. No warping. That is a good thing. Waiting on the vent visors to come in.
Something about a blacked out car that looks so good.
CrazyMan 02-14-2007, 02:12 PM Yup. Very stealthy. Just needs some black rims to make it really.....
Blank 02-15-2007, 08:21 PM http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/8296/dsc00855copyna4.jpg
My AVS bug shield. No warping. Although, I had a problem with the screw not screwing in so I just dropped the hood and it's secured. :)
Etrigan 02-16-2007, 07:41 AM Looks great!
Could you tell us a bit about the cargo net strapped to the ceiling? I Like!
Did you build the platform in the back yourself?
Thanks.
Speedy Toaster Dave 02-16-2007, 12:08 PM CrazyMan, i got some black rims and tires for sale interested?

My friend gave me a cargo net he had. Just used bungee cords to tie it as this person had: http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27779
chih15 02-18-2007, 07:16 AM You asked me why so many emblem on my thread. My question to you is why blacken all the emblems? A car that black to me is just not safe to drive in the night. Hopefully that answer your question, emblem not only for look but also add color and better visibility for other car.

I don't know about anyone else......but when im behind someone i dont look for shiny emblems at night......i look for those big red things called tail lights.
lizzurd 02-18-2007, 11:07 AM Looks good......is it just my eyes or have you lowered it?
Could just be the the lighting and the angle of the pics.

As Lizzurd stated, that is what tail lights and lights in general are used for; night time visibility, not manufacturer's emblems reflecting off your headlights.
I didn't ask the question toward concerns of safety. More of a redundancy issue.

It's not and I don't plan to anytime soon. It's fine at it's original height. :)
HAHNEE07 02-19-2007, 12:22 AM did you paint the front and back gray panels? (krylon?)
EXwSCnose 02-19-2007, 05:07 AM I'm still awaiting the arrival of my Auto Ventshade bug shield.
It looks nice and clean! Congrats!!! Mine is Galaxy-Gray and I am considering to fill in the center grooves of the alloy spokes, to carry over the theme... ?!?!? Black may be a little harsh in contrast, but...

the.professional 12-02-2007, 11:59 PM Hey Blank,
I'm really feeling your blackout Element, great job! Quick question for you, how did you black the honda emblems? Did you paint or replace the grill to get it black? I would highly recommend all black rims, if you have gotten some since please post some pictures. I'm planning on getting my first Element this spring and I'm going for a blackout... Thanks!
