Got my console put in. It's a Tuffy model 23, 6.5" wide. The color is "Charcoal Gray", which is a better color match than black. I'd like to change the armrest fabric to match the seats, but I'm really happy with it. I cut the plastic center console for a better fit, and have no problem getting to the parking brake.

How do we like it?

Looks nice. Where did you purchase the console? Also, how did you cut the floor tray?

Yes! Yes! Where did you purchase your center console? What material is it made out of? Could you show photos of how you cut the center floor tray to make your new console fit?

By the way...it looks great!

Wow, that's very nice. Where did you get it? Price?

How does it stay in place? Did you fasten it down?

Thanks, Jim

I had a 82 Jeep Scrambler last year, and those consoles are very popular with the jeepers, I found the cheapest place to be mesa4x4.com , much cheaper than some of the other 4wd stores. There is also a model with a seperate locking stereo compartment, could be cool for DVD player, CB, other electronics. The model Marky used is here:

http://www.mesa4x4.com/parts/tuffy/tf-023.html it is $157.95

Just click on the "email" link and it will generate an immediate, automatic pricelist for all tuffy products and send it to your email. They really do have the best prices.

I have a 2007 E and think your console is the best. However, I would like to keep the original arm rests. Your picture shows only one. Is there room for both?
