Ok I know that this info is out there. I searched for it and found one example of what I am looking for. I need more than one. Plus I had a good idea for a new thread.

I would love for this thread to stay strictly Meguiars products and what you have used them on so we can use it as a resource for those who use Meguiars or want to use Meguiars.

With that being said I want to know what Meguiars Products you are using on your Element, Clay Bar, Paint Cleaners, Polish, Wax. What do you use on your tires? What are you using on your panels? What works best and what has not worked at all.

Let’s talk Meguiars!

I have not used any Meguiars yet on the E since I have a ton of other stuff to use up before I buy any new (I have stuff left over from like 2 and 3 years ago that was cheap stuff from before I got a job), but I do like the Meguairs products. I used a polish on my 93 Accord that was Meguiars and it was awesome. I believe it was a 3 step process that is supposed to recondition the paint on your car. I only purchased the first two steps, but it was incredible. It got rid of all of the oxidation and the paint had a showroom shine again even though it was 13 years old and had not seen a garage for 6 years. I was very impressed and I will be getting meguiars when I run out of my current stuff.

I use Meguiars Gold Class soap and the Tech Wax. I love them both, especially the Tech Wax, nothing I've used shines like it! I don't put anything on my panels, I tape them off with some painters tape and wax all the metal around them. I takes an hour or so just to tape it up but I've seen the aftermath of getting wax on the plastic panels and I'd rather avoid it.

Is the tech wax a white liquid wax? Does it leave the white wax dust everywhere when you are buffing it off? I am used to the solid waxes (that come in a tub) and I am getting really tired of the white dust that results. Is this similar to that new "Ice" synthetic wax that another company has? It is clear and does not make any dust.

This is from the Meguiars website.

NXT Wax:
After years of research into advanced polymer chemistry, Meguiar’s® has created a wax powered by Engineered Synthetic Polymer (ESP) technology. The result, NXT Generation® Tech Wax™, is the most technologically advanced synthetic protectant for paint available for today’s modern finishes and clear coats. Our breakthrough formulation goes on and comes off easy without a powdery residue to visually eliminate fine swirls, protect against UV damage, and leave your finish “amped up” – with a deep, wet-look shine that is unbelievably intense. ESP technology creates a tough polymer bond for xtreme, durable protection.

That sounds like exactly what I need. That definitely sounds awesome. Since we have the SOP and a Galaxy Gray Mazda, I want something that will bring out all of the deep colors. The both paint colors have a lot of depth and can look different depending on the light that hits them. I want to get a wax that really makes all of the colors in the paint "pop". I will definitely try this stuff. Is it really expensive though? That "Ice" stuff is like 16 bucks for one bottle.

I use the back to black for the panels. It works great and it's water proof unlike the aero space stuff that other people use

The price is around $17 for an 18oz bottle on Meguiars.com

I have a '03 SSM that I use the Meguiar Tech wax to get a great finish. I also use the Tech Protectant on the panels. I tried Aerospace 303, but it washed right off. The Tech Protectant did a much better job. I also use the NXT Generation Car wash. I've been really impressed with the Meguiar products .

I use a few of the Meguir products. I really like the TEch Protect. The NXT Tech Protect is the best for the panels and dash.

i've used the tech protect and quick interior detail wipes, and loved both on the interior. i have some of the hot shine for the tires and like it. i've also used the cleaner wax and thought it worked pretty well. i'll have to try the tech wax.

i've got some tech protect and love it for the interior, but haven't tried it on the panels. it sounds like you guys are using it on the panels and like the results. i'll have to try that next time. do they have anything similar to the eagle one wayd? i bought some of that and haven't used it yet.

Meguiars does have something compareable to WAYD.

http://www.meguiars.com/estore/product_list.cfm?sectionname=Consumer%20(Meguiar's %20Brand)>Auto%20Paint%20Care>Car%20Waxes>Spray%20Car%20Waxes&sectionID=11503

Try that link, I am pretty sure those are two options for a Meguiars WAYD.

Ok, I have to admit I get most of my Meguiar's stuff Gratis since Mr Tango is involved big time in NHRA Drag Racing. BUT I LOVE the stuff, makes detailing the E really enjoyable - and yes, I do the detailing and washing myself - by hand. I prefer Meguiar's to Mothers and other stuff I have tried - been using it for a long time on our Vette and the E gets even BETTER treatment than it does! I plan to stick with the Meguiar's, I can count on it for the perfect results every time and with every product. OHHHH - and for the ladies - IT SMELLS GREAT and doesn't ruin your hands or make em peel.

Here's What I Use Most Often - Every Wash And In-Between Washes
M's FINAL INSPECTION
M's SOFT WASH GEL
M's NATURAL SHINE VINYL & RUBBER PROTECTOR
M's QUIK INTERIOR DETAILER
M's ENDURANCE TIRE TREATMENT
M's VINYL/RUBBER CLEANER & CONDITIONER
M's QUIK WAX

Here's What I Use Less Often - 2 to 4 X a Year Or As Needed
M's MILD DETAILING CLAY
M's DEEP CHRYSTAL GLOSS POLISH
M's NEW CAR GLAZE
M's SCRATCH X
M's PLASTX CLEAR PLASTIC CLEANER/POLISH

Here's The Non-Meguiar's Stuff I Also Use
MR CLEAN WHEEL/TIRE SPONGES
303 WIPER TREATMENT
STONER INVISIBLE GLASS
SONUS TRIM AND MOTOR COAT
CONCOURS BUFFING TOWELS
QUALITY MICROFIBER TOWELS

I don't have plastic panels but I use the Cleaner & Conditioner 1st followed by the Natural Shine on ALL my plastic inside & out.
In between washes I use the Final Inspection outside - MAN I LOVE THAT STUFF! And the Quik Interior Detailer inside.

LOL - since my kid with ADD grew up and moved out of the house, that's virtually the same list of stuff I don't bother to use on my Element! Wow - nearly 20 things I don't spend money on!

Nice job Tango, a man that cleans like I do! I have this industrial rubber/vinyl/leather treatment stuff that I use on my interior plastic & vinyl that is great. It is basically the active ingredient in Armor All. Armor All adds alcohol to it so it dries faster and requires more applications. I put this stuff on my dash and it shines for weeks. I'll try and locate the name of the place I got it from. It has no name, just a blank bottle.

Well if you'd read the whole whole post you'd know I don't spend money on this stuff either.....99% of it I get free. :D

Detailing the E is fun for me and with the right "stuff", and regular care, it doesn't take that much work OR time. Having the right "stuff" makes the job LOTS easier/faster - and frankly if I had to buy the Meguiar's, I would - my time is more valuable than a few bucks for supplies. Who'd want to go to the trouble and spend all that time if the car didn't look showroom new when it's done. It sure makes me feel good (and proud) to drive around my really shiny, awesome E that I did myself.

And happily NO ADD, NO OCD - in fact I am free of any sort of phobias, disorders, compulsions and mood swings. I just enjoy the "zen zone" of detailing the E and admiring my hard work when I am done. Not so bad on the old upper arms, waist and abs either - just like going for good long work-out except when I get done, I have a very shiny, clean E too!

Tango, you put 2,000 miles a year on your E.......When does it get dirty???????

Ok Tango, I do have plastic panels and I would love to know what to use on them. What do you suggest. I have read that M's natural shine has UV protection and I would love that but does it make the panels look good?

JPH102900 - In some cases - like on car stuff, I actually consider being thought of as male as a positive. ;-)

dparrothead1 - Here in the "plains", so-to-speak we have the following car killer "events" - last weekend we had a 6 hour dust storm that shut down DFW, in Jan we had rain every other day which turned the muddy sand they used to de-ice the roads into red-brown mud. In summer it often rains mud - as in the car has brown drops and driplets all over it after it rains. The wind blows a lot - and anything in the air ends up pressure blasted onto your car. Of course there are always the people with their sprinklers who water the street instead of their yard - usually the people who live between your house and wherever you need to go at that moment. Combine the above with messy birds, messy bugs, messy trees, and messy things people dump out their car windows and you get a lovely variety of things adhered to your car at any given time. And BTW- blowing dust at 50 MPH does not stop at the garage door. It's not the miles, it's the conditions of those miles - the longest I have gone without washing (in nice weather) was about 7-8 weeks and the E was clearly dirty.

BrownSquirrel - I usually use the conditioner 1st and then I final coat everything plastic on the outside at least once (and often twice) with the Natural Shine. - Bumpers, roof strip - anything black on the outside of my E gets Natural Shine on it and I have been VERY happy with the results. It doesn't seem to wear off easily and it stays nice between washings. I tried some other stuff but the finish was not what I was looking for - I wanted more shine - not just protection. Try it on your bumpers and see if you like it there and how it works for you maybe. I don't have the panels so I can't advise on how it works/looks on those.

I went to Walmart and bought some PlasticX from Meguiars.

http://www.meguiars.com/estore/product_list.cfm?sectionname=Consumer%20(Meguiar's %20Brand)>Clear%20Plastic%20Care&sectionID=15101

I have some minor scratches on the clear plastic and thought this stuff might work. Well let me tell you that it did not work. Maybe I did it wrong but I followed the directions and didnt get the results I was hoping for. I will try it again this weekend and see what I get but as of now I am not recomending this product.

Anybody else used this stuff?

M's VINYL/RUBBER CLEANER & CONDITIONER - I use it 1st then use the "Natural SHine" after. Works great for me.
