I like the Body colored panels of my Element but also like the ruggedness of the unpainted body panels. I used my very unimpressive PS skills and came up with a compromise. What do you think? (Thanks to meglovebilly for the photo)

I really like that look. Combines the paint with protection for the most vunerable areas. :D

That's what Honda should have done initially. I think that looks way better than the entire plastic panels some of us have now.

I actually thought about something like that a few weeks ago. My Idea, though, involves covering the painted doors on my E up to the top of the unpainted panels with Rhino-Liner!
Cooler heads prevailed... of course! But I thought I'd add my two-cents while we are talking "Photoshop Mods"!

I think it would look good if it was lifted and had some bigger tires under the flares.

I think it looks good...yeah it's a bit similar to some GMC Trucks that utilize the flares but it's unique to the other E's out there.
Good PS skills too it looks natural. I'd say if it looks good to you go for it....and yes some beefier tires would look good 235/70/16's :D

Yea, I saw his thread (http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27292) and thought it looked really rugged. I like the looks of his but a bit too rugged for me. I think I would like it on the fender flares and the small area at the bottom of the doors as I have PSed at the beginning. But maybe something not so roughly textured.

Agreed about it being unique to Elements.
I have heard conflicting accounts of that tire size rubbing...
