Can you describe where this Toy's R Us parking lot is?
K-Dogg 03-30-2007, 03:31 AM Can you describe where this Toy's R Us parking lot is?
Hey Turbo,
Toys R Us is across the street from Pali Momi Hospital, on the corner of Pali Momi St. and Moanalua Rd. Coming from town, you're going to exit off of the freeway to Kamehameha Hwy. You then make the right onto Pali Momi as if you're going to Pearlridge, then make another right at the 4-way intersection just past the bank building. Jungle River is at the far end of the lot; just don't drive up into the parking structure. You can Google Earth "Pearlridge Center, Hawaii" and it'll give you a pretty good idea.
Hope to see you all; I may have something going on the 22nd, but I won't know until we're into April before I can see if I can cut out of my prior commitment or not...
naluboy 03-30-2007, 04:12 AM Yo K-Dogg is that a pic of your dog on your avatar? Cool looking dog... and it's the same color of your E what an accessory... Cool
elemento 03-30-2007, 01:57 PM So that's what you named your E after....ahhhhh soooooo.....cool
elemento 03-30-2007, 02:01 PM OOps my bad....Yeah "Toys R Us" is located across the street from longs (same side as the bank) and like K-DOGG mentioned it's across the street from PaliMomi on the Daimond Head side....If anybody else needs directions I think K-DOGG gives directions alot better than me lol....cool

No sadly, Mr. Moo Man doesn't belong to me, but to a good friend of mine. Our family has adopted a "no more pets" policy because it was too heart-wrenching for everyone when they passed on.
So Mr. Moo Man has become my surrogate buddy and he's the coolest dog you'll ever meet. Mr. Moo Man is welcome to ride shotgun in my E anytime. :D
BTW, I got the "K-Dogg" nickname way back in the day when Snoop-Dogg was hawt. :-P

Ah Haa... Cool looking dog nontheless...
turboturtle 03-31-2007, 08:35 PM Based on the conversation at the last meet, we should have a bring your pet event. K-Dogg can bring Mr. Moo Man.

Hey Turbo~ that might be a good idea for a future meet. "HEOC Pet Cruise"
elemento 04-02-2007, 07:52 PM Yeah I would love to see that bruiser of a Dog....Hey we can prop him up in K-Doggs driver seat and take a pic =)
K-Dogg 04-10-2007, 12:22 PM Better think of a contingency plan for the cruise on the 22nd... An article in this morning's paper is saying that the State doesn't anticipate having the highway fully passable for another 2-3 weeks.
If the shrimp truck is still on the agenda, the only way to get there is going to have to be the long way, around the Windward side, and back. Don't know if the State plans to contraflow on the weekend, but even if they did, I don't even want to imagine the traffic and backlog in either direction... :-|
Anyway, something to think about; hopefully the situation will change in the next couple of weeks.
elemento 04-10-2007, 10:13 PM Thanks for great insight K-DOGG. I hope the road will be fully operational by then but if it aint we can always go elsewhere...I know there is another shrimp truck in haleiwa (don't think it's Mackys) might be giovanis not sure but that could definetely be another option...or we could check out this great restaraunt in Kailua called "brents" (parking might be tight though hmmmm) or try pinks (we never did get a chance to try it)....or we could byob (bring your own bento) deals...Anyways guess we will see if the road will be fully operational...okay peeps cross your fingers or pray...lol...
K-Dogg 04-11-2007, 02:04 AM I might bag out of what I need to do on Sunday the 22nd. With that said, I humbly suggest we steer clear of Kailua town. That whole block around Oneawa St, Kailua Road, Hahani St, and Hamakua just gets nuts and if we get a lot of E's rolling, not sure how much fun that's gonna be, especially around mid-day.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not dissing K-Town; I used to work there and play there a lot, but the traffic, especially now with all of the renovations, just bites. Weekends are the worst.
Just a thought, but we can still roll out to Haleiwa, do the 'BYOB' deal, and go hang out at Kaiaka State Park, just down the road from the boat harbor. Or just hope the highway reopens for two-way traffic in time..
turboturtle 04-11-2007, 02:31 AM KHNL News tonight reports that the road is now open again. Even if it isn't, the contraflow shouldn't take that long (we're not in a rush anyway right?). The truck in Haleiwa is Giovani's which to me, anyway, has better tasting garlic shrimp but no amenities like extra towels or wash basin or lavatory.
lifeizgood 04-11-2007, 04:02 AM Did somebody say SHRIMP?!?
Wow. That might pay for my trip.

Yeah lets not hurry anywhere... Leisure cruise, eat shrimp (hopefully @ Macky's), deliver some non-perishsable can goods for our community and just enjoy the day with a bunch of cool people and some sick looking E's. Hopefully the roads are passable or we can just go somewhere else food is never a problem we can eat anywhere or B.Y.O.B. again, Whatever's... Just looking forward to cruising with everyone. AURITE......
P.S. maybe by then I'll actually be driving again, whooohoooo!!!
elemento 04-11-2007, 11:53 AM Hey Nalu,
good to hear you will be piloting your sc....yeah we can just wait I think they said that the road will be opening 100% soon..If not like you said we just cruize no worrys..cool

Hey, I thought the SC belonged to Shel... And Nalu got the xB  Well, she deserves to get chauffered :D
Yup, just have to see how the work progresses on the cleanup and mitigation. Supposedly, they're not going to open the highway for two-way traffic until they get the temporary arresting fence up, which may be 2-3 weeks.
If the swells start winding down, maybe the contraflow won't be too bad if it's still in place on the 22nd.

K-Dogg 04-16-2007, 04:08 AM Aloha All,
Well, I may not be able to skip out on my thing next week Sunday... I may swing by for the meet-n-greet, but I don't think I'll be able to roll out to the North Shore. Bummer.
Anyway, hope to see y'all next weekend; just no shrimp-fest for me :-(
naluboy 04-16-2007, 06:28 AM :-( Sorry to hear that K-dogg... I don't think you have missed any of the meets since I've been part of the HEOC. We're gonna have a shrimp for you in spirit anyway! 8-)
turboturtle 04-16-2007, 01:34 PM I had to go to the North Shore to visit my daughter yesterday and it wasn't bad at 5:00 pm but my daughter says it took them 25 minutes to get through the contraflow on Friday about 5:00pm. So, I maybe we could go through Kahuku to get to Mackeys then go home via the contraflow so you only have to wait one time or vice versa. Otherwise, if you were very lucky like we were yesterday, there was no wait at all.
Gonna miss you K-Dogg but it just gives you more time for more surprise mods when we see you the next time.:D
elemento 04-17-2007, 04:23 AM Awww bummers!! Well hopefully you can make it to the meet and greet K-Dogger....cool
