: shots in front of the Oakley factory
toolbox 04-09-2007, 01:58 AM So after living near the Oakley factory for years, or ...10 to 15 min away, I finaly decided to drive up to it. From what I've seen in the stores, I love there sense of design, ...I mean I really love it. So I just had to take some pictures of my E with the building in the background. Only if I can work in that futuristic industrial look in to my car...hmm...probubly not safe to do, oh well, I'll save it for my future home lol. Anyways, it was ausome, heres some pics. Oh, and thats my gf in one of the shots, I dont think she wanted to be in that lol.

Everything is under one roof (actually several); R&D, administration, sales, manufacturing (eyewear), warehousing, shipping, etc. plus a large indoor auditorium and a regulation-size NBA court.

But Rock E Top it's a cool sci-fi looking building (reminds me of something from a sci-fi movie, I can't quite put my finger on it), and the photos of the black E on a gray day (dusk? dawn?) with just the lights on the E is great. Kinda ominous but cool!!!

toolbox 04-09-2007, 05:12 PM It was just another stereotypical sunny day in southern California, its closer to dusk though, and if there were shots, it would have been pictures of me hiding behind the car takeing pics of the shots...however the mythbusters busted that and I probubly wouldnt make it out alive...damn you hollywood magic!

I think it always bodes well to have an additional human in the pic, to prove we aren't as crazy as non-Element owners sometimes acuse us of being. Nicely done, toolbox! :cool: ;-)
MsMarvel 04-11-2007, 09:43 PM It's pretty cool inside the building, too. I had some Oakley sunglasses many years ago and they would do on-site "warranty" repair work if a plastic part was cracked or whatever. I think I had to go there twice for repairs. It was great to have an excuse to drive over there!
