Anyone know of a place here in SOCAL that does car wraps? I've read the other 2 threads about it but no references to any place here locally.

I got some ideas in mind that is minor and easy. Does anyone know how this works? How easy is it to apply and remove? If removed can it be put back on? Does it harm the paint? I'd like to be able to have some designs and change out as I please.

Its printed on a vinyl that they apply to your car, I think the manufacturer takes a 3d model of your car then has the computer figure out the shapes the vinyl has to be printed out on, anyways I think if you want to change things often, then go with a magnetic vinyl thats easily removable, and easy to work with. Unless you got a lot of money to have this done...on this website (http://www.carwrap.com/carwrap-questions.html#12) they say if you want changes they print you out a piece that can cover the old one, which doesn't sound like what you want to do

That thread has a link to the magnetic stuff on it.

Hmm...

I was thinking about the magnetic vinyl but was figuring that it might be on the thick side. But looking at carwrap.com, the magnet thing sounds more viable.

It would be nice to have my Element in ACU pattern.

If you wanted to cover a large space, and you were set on that acu pattern, you might be able to find some sort of vinyl with that pattern already on it...Seems like it would be a pain to do that much pattern with the magnet stuff. What I would do...and I think this would be cool...would make pieces that reseed in to the paint...basically the pattern starts off at the front, and disappears towards the back, kind of like how people do flames in stuff

The next step for me is to look for a place that sells vinyl magnet in sheets, then have friends hand paint me the camouflage pattern.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Are you really willing to drop $2k everytime you want to change the graphics on your car? That's how much I was last quoted to have my business Element wrapped. I opted to have vinyl applied instead...
