Has anyone had experience with an external cell phone antenna, particularly on an Element? RV and expedition forums talk about Wilson Cellular antennas as means of improving reception in remote areas - such as east side of the Cascades in Washington and Oregon.

Paul, a study done in 2000 by the Verizon showed no appreciable gains by the passive devices. I went looking for the study but I was unable to find it. I do remember that there were good gains from active devices. such as the ones in the link.
