Owing to the fact that my opu has been increasing in girth since I effectively can't run anymore, I thought I'd better get back on the bike for some much needed exercise.

Today's been only the 2nd time I've been on my bike all year (the other time was last week Saturday), but the weather was nice, so I ventured out to Makapu`u and checked out the new public wayside.

Here are some pic's I thought I'd share; tried shooting some of the cactus flowers, but the overgrown grass and prickly pears made it tough to get in close. For those of you headed up to the Waimea Audubon Center this weekend, well, I tried... :D

Ooooh, I wish I could trade the bike ride I took today for the one you took! I miss Hawai'i sooo much. I have great Makapu'u memories... we were the only ones on the beach when we went to visit that day and the undertow was something fierce, stole my towel from under me, woulda taken me too if I'd been napping. The view from down below was breathtaking, but the view from above that you captured is even more so.

Great pics, K-Dogg. You really have a photographic eye. Missed all the HEOC peeps at Waimea Bay. Hope you didn't also do the Metric Century today. That really would have been a lot of riding!
