Here's what I did on the driver's seat back. $2 of mesh fabric (yellow, my wife's favorit color), $2 of elastic, $2 for thread, and a couple of hours at the sewing machine...

Now smaller items won't fall out, and I only spent 6 bucks. I still have leftover fabric, too, so I might make a cargo net now.

Hey that's a great alternative. Do you put items in through the opening on the very top or through the sides? Sorry bad eyesight.. can't really tell from the picture.

It's open at the top and goes through to the bottom...just one big pocket. The bands across the middle are just elastic to hold things in. The sides are open, so things could be shoved in that way as well, I suppose.
