The official site for the 2007 EOC National Meet in Las Vegas is now online. REGISTER NOW!

Official 2007 EOC National Meet Site (http://www.elementownersclub.com/event2007)

Also, if you are coming and have not booked your hotel room at The Orleans yet - do it soon. There are only two weeks left before they raise rates and drop all rooms in our block that have not been reserved.

Just booked my hotel room.

Very disappointed in the response to this event. Tom, Julie and I have worked very hard to get this event put together. We actually expected some sort of response from people. Is anyone planning on coming from the west coast? The hotel room block will be released back to The Orleans on Monday May 21, after that the hotel is going to cost you $100 more for the 3 nights. Is everyone staying at a friends house?

Come on people, these events are lots of fun. Please sign up and register for the event as well as make your hotel reservations.

If we don't get support then there isn't any reason for us to spend the time, money and energy planning events across the country when a closer event is simpler to manage for us...

Please come out and join us for some fun. We're going to have a great time. :)

Is anyone planning on coing from the west coast?

Well, yes. At least one of us is even registered, booked at the hotel, and looking forward to it. (And it's still a 1200+ mile drive one way.)

I'm planning on going, I just can't decide whether to come out on Thursday or Friday and whether to leave on Saturday or Sunday.

I keep checking back on the schedule posted on the event page to see what is planned, but it has not been updated.
Have any plans been finalized yet?

I know Joeboxer and a few other guys have posted in the SoCal forum saying they are going to be there.
We are trying to arrange caravans for Thursday and Friday but I'm kind of surprised more people have not chimed in as well.

BTY, in case anyone needs it, the number for hotel reservations is 1-800-675-3267.
It's not listed on the event site and I know some may not want to go to the casino's website from work.

I just booked my room and registered. I'm driving out Friday morning and hoping to get there around 5ish on Friday afternoon - hopefully in a carvan with others. Have tickets to LOVE on Saturday night. Driving back on Sunday.

Also, still wondering if anyone has asked the Orleans if they can set aside a parking area for us that gets patroled heavily. They have TONS of parking and based on how crowded their lots get it would be unfortunate if we had to scatter our parking based on what spaces can be found.

T Mac or Larry, can someone look into this?

The general plan now is to head to Hoover Dam as a group on Friday. Saturday will be a gathering at the hotel, prize drawing and probably another optional trip
to another place or two as a group. The rest of the weekend is mingling and running around Vegas with your new EOC friends.

As for the parking situation at the hotel, we'll look into that. The last time I was there, the entire 2nd floor of the parking garage was open and that was during a very busy Vegas weekend (SEMA and CES). It would be cool to look out of the hotel and see the E's lined up on top of the parking garage, spelling out EOC. :)

For Saturday, a caravan out to Red Rock would be great and it's close by - there are even secret waterfalls out there if anyone wants to try and find them. Keep in mind it's most likely going to be really, really HOT outside of the AC inside! Make sure your AC is up to the task if you are driving your E and pack accordingly!

I'd like to see Red Rock Canyon.

Thanks for the update Tom. I'm still working out the logistics.
My wife doesn't understand my "element" thing; add a restless three year old on a 4-5 hour car trip and she doesn't think it'll be much fun.
I think they may just go to Disneyland for a day or two instead.

So I may be wife and kid free all weekend.
I'll miss them, but....:-D

Maybe my brother will go. He and his fiance just "set a date".
It can be like an early bachelor party!!!

I think it's going to be Hoover Dam on Friday and Red Rock on Saturday. Looking forward to it. :)

Some people might not be able to take 3 days off to do this.
However, it's only a three hour drive.
I suspect that you'll see a bunch of SoCal members show up for one day. (Saturday)
Just because peeps haven't registered at the hotel, doesn't mean they won't be attending.

As for me: Wish I could go but I have a big family wedding going on this week end and cannot make the gig.

If they want to get the event shirt and be in the drawing for prizes, registration for the event on our official meet site (http://www.elementownersclub.com/event2007) is required in the next week or so. Thanks!

I just registered for the E-vent but I'm staying at a frend's house right off the strip. Driving up Thursday night and leaving Monday morning. Does staying at the "official" hotel mean that you will be able to do things others who don't stay at the hotel won't?

First, glad to hear you'll be joining us.

To answer your question - plan on coming over to the hotel on Friday morning to join us for the caravan out to Hoover Dam. I'll post a more official agenda soon.

Made my reservation too.

Just FYI for those that may not know; I asked if the hotel tries to put everyone in the group in the same area.
The rep said they usually just place people by smoking preference unless you ask to be near a certain person.

So I requested to be in a nonsmoking room near Tom with a "strip" view.
I'm now officially a high maintenance stalker!!!!

Registration numbers are climbing... keep them coming guys!!!

Remember - we lose our hotel group rates on Monday (21st) so book your room asap if you haven't already done so!

Also, I just updated the event site (schedule page) to show that we plan to...
- drive to Hoover Dam on Friday (and probably stop at Ethel M's on the way back)
- drive to Red Rock Canyon on Saturday

Thanks!!!!

Cut it close!!! But, as of this morning, we're booked and registered!!!

This is what happens when you're visiting family a couple states away...

I kinda goofed on the registration site and accidentally did it twice:shock: ...so, hopefully Tom forgives me and doesn't play too many naughty pranks on me at the hotel! :-D

I *want* to go, but my attendance is based on whether a friend of mine will need me that weekend to take care of her kids. If I find that I'm availble here in the coming weeks, can I still go for the Saturday E-vents? ;-) I don't have to be put in for any raffle, or any of that stuff... but I'd love to go to the show and meet people... and go for the drive and stuff...
Let me know if I'm a day late (literally) :)
