Hi All,

Just returned from the first major road trip in my Element... logged
1325 miles round trip, Detroit to Cleveland,Tn.. Had a great trip and
saw several other E's in the process. Gas milage was steady at 25 MPG
and prices ranged from $3.25 in the North to $2.69 in the South. Did alot
of Mountain roads when we got to Tn.. Drove back into Ocoee to see
the site of the '96 Olympic Kayak course (Awesome whitewater). Handled
great on the narrow roads, lots of Logging trucks and big rigs to navigate
around. Everywhere we went, we had someone approach us and ask about
the E. Now that the price of gas is up again, so is the interest in something
that is going to save some $. Most really wanted to take a good look at it
and see what it had to offer, so it was fun playing salesman. The other E's
I saw on the road must not have been EOC members because I only had one
return my peace sign and wave back at me. All in all it was a great trip, the
weather was perfect and seeing family and friends is what its all about.
Got to see some beautiful country and drive some massive roads and the
TRP took it all in stride like the good little workhorse it is. Can't wait for the
next one, will let you all know how it goes.
