: free rims...worth it?

I have been offered a set of rims for free pending that I buy tires for them. The rims are 18" X 7-1/2" with a 24mm offset. The bolt pattern is 5 lug on 115mm. I see that the stock is 115 but I also see 114 listed. I have had both it will fit and it won't fit comments. Can anyone clarify?

Wht kinda price are they giving you on the tires? Also are they new or used rims?

The rims are used...they are coming off a friend's car. Really clean...just the usual tired of these rims deal. So I can have them assuming they fit and go get tires anywhere. I haven't gotten a straight answer on if they will fit or not...some places say yes and some say no.

What kid of car are they off of?....the offset doesnt sound like it will work with the E.

Are they off a Dodge Charger by chance? If there are the Charger is RWD and i will almost guarantee they will not fit properly if they fit at all.

The E bolt pattern is 5x114.3, I beleive the charger is the same bolt pattern. I would test fit them on your E to make sure the will actually clear everything before buying tires for them.

Close they are coming from a Dodge Magnum. I realize that if they fit the offset will make them stick out alot. The idea was to put them on when I have a special event such as an outdoor sound gig for advertising...not so much for everyday stuff.

i was looking into buying a set of those maybe a year ago. The offset doesn't worry me but the hole in the center of the wheel worries me. Not sure if its bigger then or smaller then ours. I hope its bigger so the wheel can sit flush to the hub,

ask your friend if you can just bolt them on to see how they fit. and spin them to see if they clear the brake calipers too. thanks and good luck! Free stuff is the best stuff.

The Magnum uses a 71.5 hub center compared to the E's 64.1 so fitting over then hub isnt an issue......but hub rings should be used.

hey thanks for the clarification. Now the only concern now is if the spokes rub against the calipers or not. But by looking at the rim, it looks like it wouldn't be an issue

the bolt pattern is not correct either....the correct bolt pattern you need is 5x114.3 the rim that you mentioned would probably still fit over the studs though....and while the offset is low....they wheels could fit...but might need to cut your back fenders like myself and others have did on the forum who have 20" wheels and lowered...

This is the best idea. Then you will know for sure if they will clear or rub.
