Hi there....

I got some tree sap on my new E.
The Honda dealership recommended using sap remover and water to get the sap off and the put some polish back on the panel

Well I used the sap remover and now have a shiny spot that disappears when wet.... almost like i just spread the sap out with the remover andit's now drying white....

Anybody else have experience with this? Please help!

Try using a cleaner wax like 3m Ultra Glaze and then follow up with a nice caranauba based polish.

Peanut Butter-the miracle solvent...just kidding, but hey, maybe it will work. It gets gum out of your hair, and wax off your panels, so who knows.

What about that "goo-gone" stuff?

I started a thread about tree sap on your E called "ARG! SAP on my E"

There are many suggestions, everything from WD40 to mineral spirits.

Use the serch funtion to find this thread in this forum.

I used "Goo-Gone" to remove some gum from my rear quarter panel and it worked great.
